Our functions include working with various third parties to develop, integrate, and support insurance systems of WRBC’s operating units. BTS strives to provide these functions in a holistic manner including helpdesk support, system connectivity, and operational support. Additional responsibilities include coordinating communications regarding best practices in the use of our supported systems and researching new technology. BTS is constantly growing and expanding to meet the changing demands of one of the most successful insurance organizations in the world.

This position will be providing support of one or more applications to various member companies of the corporation. The position will involve developing, implementing, and supporting software solutions for customers.

Primary Duties and Responsibilities:

+ Develops advanced requirements based on customer request and/or requirements.

+ Assist in writing requirements, design, testing and/or initiation of projects to help provide solutions for our customers.

+ Provides Tier 1 & 2 application support and trouble shooting.

+ Work with business to understand system issues.

+ Monitor / track issues until resolution and determine impacts resulting from issue.

+ Coordinates software release schedule and approval process with Release Management, development staff, Business System Analysts, and customers.

+ Able to provide root cause analysis when troubleshooting system issues.

+ Develops and troubleshoots reports using various business intelligence tools.

+ Active participant in design sessions and other technical meetings involving system changes.

+ Knowledgeable on a specific set of components within an application or a single application.

+ Communicate issues effectively to multiple levels within the organization.

+ Create documentation and training materials, Provide end-user training to internal and external customers.

+ Assists in release software upgrades to customers (internal/external to BTS), including testing.

+ Travel for position is up to 10%.

Minimum Qualifications:

+ 4 – 7 years experience.

+ Knowledge and experience in data warehousing (ETL, Star Schemas, OLAP, Dimensional Modeling etc.)

+ Experience in integrating data from multiple source systems.

+ Experience identifying potential solutions, designing, documenting, testing databases/applications required.

+ Some experience in the Insurance Accounting or Finance Industry preferred.

+ Excellent problem solving and analytical skills.

+ Strong interpersonal and communication skills, both oral and written.

+ Ability to quickly learn new technology and systems.

+ Bachelor’s degree with emphasis in related field or equivalent experience.
