Job Description

Review available funds and prepare an annual Foundation budget for approval by the
Foundation Trustee; integrate and communicate the value, cost, and risk implications
of financial models to support investment decisions and provide alternatives and
options to recommendations; assist in analysis of current and new accounts to
determine how best to migrate investments to company portfolio models in
consideration of tax, risk, performance and income needs of accounts; prepare
financial reports related to the fundraising activities and financial expenditures of the
Foundation; review and analyze budgets and financial projections submitted with
grant proposals to determine feasibility; knowledge of not for profit tax structure;
maintain comprehensive internal database of tax forms researched, results of changes,
and status of pending changes; prepare all documentation and information for external
interim and year-end financial audits timely and accurately; serve as liaison for
Kookaburra’s 990 tax preparation with external accounting firm; ability to identify,
prioritize, and evaluate environmental technology, clean technology and green
industry investment opportunities; conducting sustainable investing research and
analysis, including research pieces and deep dives on sustainable investment
approaches and themes; continuously perform financial analysis to ensure
achievement of financial objectives and alignment with the organization’s budget;
design and manage portfolio models as determined by trustees; make sure that
portfolio contains diversified investment products including but not limited to, bonds,
stocks, mutual funds, ETFs, business investments, excluding high risk, private equity
and any investments not aligning with the mission; thorough understanding of
investment universe; follow the principals of modern portfolio theory for asset
selection and allocation. Support portfolio prioritization process by leveraging
relevant measures of cost, risk, and value.
