Job Description: The Document Sourcing Lead for ICG is a management-level position responsible for managing the retrieval of data point source documentation to feed into Data Tracing, an exercise to meet regulatory response commitments. The day-to-day responsibility will be to manage the Document Sourcing team who are directly responsible for retrieving documents from business SMEs, implementing iterative improvements to the current process including the accuracy of the source documentation and improving lead times. These iterative process improvements should feed into a new Target State Operating Model for the Document Sourcing process which the Document Sourcing Lead will manage and implement. Key Objectives Include: Manage the Document Sourcing team across the Data Tracing process for ICG, implementing iterative process improvements and measuring success through KPIs Ensure engagement from business SMEs Develop strategy and guidelines for appropriate staffing requirements, exercising control over resources, budget management and planning Responsibility for development and career progression for immediate reports Reporting Document Sourcing updates to Senior Management through various governance processes Liaise with the central Data Planning team to agree requirements to meet Data Tracing regulatory commitments Liaise with the Data Planning team and Document sourcing team to document knowledge of current data sources and SMES, for example, which source documents will satisfy Data Tracing regulatory response Implement the Target State Operating Model including finding areas of improvement in current state process through critical evaluation or organization, processes and technology Provide product expertise to improve the efficiency of the Document Sourcing current process Job Background/context: Citi established a FR Y-14 Program in 2019 to improve the quality of the bank’s CCAR reporting to the FRB. It is an important component of Citi’s overall Data Quality Program to ensure the bank’s information is complete, accurate and timely for external and internal users. Citi’s Institutional Clients Group (ICG) established its FR Y-14 Program within the Markets & Banking Data Governance Office at the same time to define and deliver the ICG division’s commitments to the FRB as part of Citi’s Data Quality Program. The ICG FR Y-14 Program includes activities aligned to the following areas: Citi’s Foundational Data Strategy and Enhancements Data Quality Remediation Actions FR Y-14 Exceptions Remediation Experience and skill sets within the following major areas are expected of the ICG Data Tracing Document Sourcing Lead: People Management: Managing the operations of a team, including hiring and career development responsibilities. Project Management Managing the Document Sourcing process through cycles. Stakeholder Management Professionally and effectively presenting information to all levels of management. Process Management and Process Improvement Implementation: Analysing Data Tracing current process, identifying and implementing process improvements which will feed into a new Target Operating Model. Communications Management: Continual interaction is required with peers and senior leadership in ICG businesses. Financial Services, Markets Products, Data Quality and Regulatory Background Knowledge: Previous experience in banking; knowledge of Markets Products such as Loans, Derivatives, Securities and Deposits finance; in-depth knowledge of Data Quality as well as regulatory knowledge. Key Responsibilities: Implement iterative process improvements to the Document Sourcing Implement Target State Operating Model Increase accuracy of source documentation feeding into Data Tracing process Decrease lead times to retrieve source documentation Report Document Sourcing updates to Senior Management Person Specification Qualifications: The ideal candidate will have the following attributes and qualifications: 10+ years of relevant experience Bachelor’s degree/University degree or equivalent experience Master’s degree preferred Project Management qualification e.g. Prince2, Lean Six Sigma or equivalent experience Demonstrated leadership, preferably in an operations/ process-driven environment SME knowledge on Markets products such as Loans, Securities, Derivatives Proven record of process improvement implementation, with demonstrated problem-solving and business analysis skills Experience in data quality assurance and business and technical data architecture Ability to partner with technology partners to translate business requirements into functional and technical design, and support deployment to users; both training/support and functional deployment Competencies: Ability to professionally and effectively present information and respond to questions from all levels of management Proven relationship skills with ability to build relationships, partner with, and influence across organizational lines Excellent leadership and motivational skills Attention to detail Superior Planning & Organization skills Pro-active, flexible, have good organizational skills and must be team player Proficient use of Microsoft Applications ( Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint) Project Management Skills
