2B is a well established team of RNs and ancillary staff, practicing on the 2nd floor at Bayhealth Medical Center, Kent Campus. Our unit is comprised of private and semi-private rooms, and boasts a light and airy atmosphere conducive to a healing environment.

For safety, rooms are equipped with over the bed ceiling lifts. To provide the best patient care, our nursing staff are driven to possess Bachelor’s degrees or higher, and to achieve certification. Our unit serves both the Surgical Orthopedic patient, and the general Medical Surgical patient. We work very closely with Physical and Occupational Therapy with a focus on helping our patients to obtain optimal independence prior to their discharge or transfer to their next level of care.

In keeping with our Planetree philosophy of care, our setting offers an EPIC electronic health record, bedside charting, and bedside shift report.
