As a Pathways Direct Hire, you will
be placed in a role based on professional experience and business priorities,
focused on one of a few areas including: Asset & Wealth Management,
Consumer & Community Banking, Commercial Banking, and Corporate &
To ensure continuous development
throughout the program, each candidate will receive mentorship, guidance, and
support from your individual manager, program manager, veteran sponsor and many
other influential business partners across the firm.
In addition to your business role
responsibilities, as a Pathways member you will participate in training
programs, learning sessions, individual mentoring relationships, and networking
events. You will interact with JP Morgan Chase & Co. senior management and
partner with a military veteran sponsor who will assist you with the transition
from military life into our organization. You can also become a member of our
Veteran?s Business Resource Group, an employee group that supports veteran
causes. And of course, you will have the strong support network of your fellow
military veteran colleagues. The cohort format of Pathways will provide you
with a network of peers to share experiences and a sense of community amongst

Job Description: The successful candidate requires a strong
self-starter who can proactively engage a virtual, cross organizational team,
and who has superb interpersonal skills such: as influence management,
negotiation, and analytical/problem solving skills and project management
skills. All skills needed for driving improvement activities across the
organization. Responsibilities include performing light data analysis,
information gathering, formulating conclusions, suggesting actionable plans for
bringing about desired change, and gaining consensus from stakeholders. This
position will execute new and evolving processes for both the Technology Client
Service Management department and across Technology as part of both process
maturation and normal business as usual activities. This position requires
experience in agile methodology and the ability to prioritize requirements and

Key Responsibilities and Accountabilities
+ Gather business requirements from the product team
+ Develop complex application features and createtechnical designs
+ Provides technical leadership and assumesaccountability for successful development and implementation on assignedprojects
+ Apply industry best practices and techniques to design,develop, test, deploy, support and maintain complex Java applicationsusing approved technologies and coding standards
+ Implement agile software development methods
+ Refactor code intelligently and systematically
+ Participate in peer code and design reviews
+ Monitor quality metrics (code coverage, static analysis(e.g. sonarqube, documentation, usage stats, monitors, logs, alerts, etc.)
+ Mentor other Developers on programming issues.

+ Expertise in Development utilizing Core Java and J2EE.
