Reference Data Operations is aligned to the Chief
Data Office (CDO) which is responsible for improving the quality, integrity,
and reliability of the firm’s critical data.
The organization’s objectives are to explain the path that critical data
follows, improve data quality, reduce ambiguity and inconsistent terminology,
enhance transparency, rationalize the number of replicated data assets, and
improve firmwide-sharing of information and best practices. The CDO serves as the governing body to
create firmwide standards that drive consistent data management practices,
develop technologies and processes to support data management processes,
partner with lines of business and functional groups to embed data management
best practices and capabilities, and ensure sustainability by refining,
measuring, and improving the firm’s ability to manage data.

One
of our top priorities is to help the Firm move toward a more integrated data
management strategy. The mandate of
Reference Data Operations is to manage reference data across the enterprise,
establish firmwide reference data governance processes and quality standards,
manage all reference data operations teams, and partner with the lines of
business to drive alignment to firmwide reference data standards. Our businesses and corporate groups rely on
reference data to facilitate and execute transactions, support our clients,
identify potential risks, and meet regulatory requirements.

This
position is within the Enterprise Products & Services Team which is
responsible for the build out, adoption, consumption, and utilization of the
Enterprise Product & Services (EPS) taxonomy. EPS is the strategic product and services
taxonomy to be utilized across the firm supporting risk and finance inclusive
of Market Risk, Credit Risk, Liquidity Risk, Interest Rate Risk, Finance,
Quantitative Research, Model Risk Governance, Regulatory Reporting, and Lines
of Businesses.

The
responsibilities of this role includes but are not limited to:

+ Develop and manage theend to end project implementation plan for their respective asset class torefine, adopt, and utilize the EPS taxonomy.

+ Partner with potentialadopters and consumers of EPS to determine strategy for implementation andutilization

+ Investigate breaksidentified through exception reports to identify data quality issues, newproducts, or mapping updates

+ Contribute togovernance and strategy forum and steering committee

+ Work on specialprojects such as aligning EPS to industry standards or legacy taxonomies

+ Assist withidentifying gaps or required changes to operating model ensuring awell-controlled production environment

+ Learn key referencedata tools such as Strategic Data Maintenance (SDM) and Reference DataHierarchy Platform (RDHP) for Alternate Hierarchies

The ideal candidate should have a bachelor’s
degree or equivalent, advanced degree preferred, and overall 7+ years
professional experience with 3+ years of project management experience.

+ Self-starter with excellentleadership, interpersonal, and project management skills

+ Ability to handle multipledeliverables concurrently to deliver high quality results in committedtimeframes

+ Partnership-oriented and teamplayer with ability to communicate with all staff levels within and outside ofown area including senior level stakeholders with technical backgrounds

+ Proven ability to work acrossdiverse groups, build consensus and execute the agreed plans

+ Ability to develop strongstakeholder relationships and gain consensus on key decisions

+ Excellent ability to quickly learnand assimilate business and technical knowledge, and confidently speak aboutthese processes

+ Strong data mining, problemsolving and analytical skills with ability to summarize findings

+ Experience in creating process flows,presentations, and project plans

+ Organized and detail-oriented

+ Strong oral and writtencommunication skills

+ Proficiency in MS Excel, MS Accessand MS PowerPoint and Tableau

+ Proven experience working withTechnology to deliver projects

+ Familiarity with the Agiledevelopment methodology

+ Derivatives product, risk, andfinance knowledge and experience is highly desirable

+ Reference data infrastructure andconcepts knowledge is a plus
