Position Description:

The Senior Business Analyst leads the requirements gathering process and works as a liaison with customers to understand the business issues and challenges. The role assists in providing solutions to meet business goals and focus on business process and systems improvement. The Senior Business Analyst works closely with product owners, designers, web developers, engineers and quality assurance teams to understand, analyze, and document requirements and deliver functional specifications for project delivery.

+ Collaborate with key stakeholders to define business requirements

+ Translate business needs to system solutions

+ Ensure business, functional, and technical requirements are well captured and organized

+ Understand business issues and data challenges of our customers, and organize solutions to resolve those pain points

+ Recommend new features or improvements to features that provide value to our customers

+ Continuously listen and incorporate feedback from customers, end users or key stakeholders, to deliver value for our customers

+ Conduct JAD sessions and facilitate working sessions as well as stakeholder interviews, focus groups and a/b testing

+ Perform the role of the scrum master on the development team and ensure that projects progress on track following Agile methodologies

+ Facilitate various Agile Scrum ceremonies such as: Daily Scrum, Sprint Planning, Sprint Reviews, and Sprint Retrospectives

+ Develop Epics, author User Stories and define Acceptance Criteria

+ Create project artifacts such as: user scenarios, process flow diagrams, and wireframes

+ Effectively communicate with all stakeholders to solidify needs and identifying issues in a timely manner

+ Ability to take large projects from conception to delivery and support

+ Ability to work on older applications and augment them with evolving business needs

+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent relevant experience

+ Previous experience working with Agile software development teams as their Business Analyst: 5+ years

+ Prior experience performing the role of a Scrum Master: 2+ years

+ Rally, JIRA or any other advanced tool for Agile teams

+ Proficient in the Microsoft Office Suite (MS Office and 365, MS Word, Excel, Visio, PowerPoint, Access and MS Project)

+ Effective written and oral communication skills

+ Healthcare revenue cycle domain

+ Communicate frequently with co-workers as well as with managers to discern their needs, and be able to express themselves

+ Work as a member of a team as well as be a self-motivator with ability to work independently

+ Constantly operates a computer and other office equipment to coordinate work

+ Usually remains stationary for the majority of the day

+ Frequently communicates with clients and coworkers and must be able to share information effectively

+ Generally works in an office environment
