The successful candidate will report to a principal investigator engaged in the research and development of new technologies for industrial water treatment applications.
In this role they will be responsible for the planning, execution, and documentation of preparation and evaluation of products in accordance with the project objectives established by the principal investigator.
During the course of their work they will be required to handle and prepare various chemical products including aqueous and oil based formulations, emulsions, and dispersions.
They are responsible for the maintenance of their work area including keeping the lab equipment / chemical inventory current.All activities are required to be conducted in accordance with the Solenis safety compliance program.
• BS/BA Degree in chemistry with or related field with 0-3+ years of experience, or an Associate Degree with 3+ years of experience.
• Good track record of safety practices.
• Functions well in a team environment.
• Responsible and reliable, able to consistently generate high quality results.
• Able to follow SOP and perform routine laboratory work independently. Laboratory experience in chemical research preferred.
• Proficiency in Excel and Word. Experience with statistical analysis methods desirable.
• Ability to keep an accurate, clear and well organized lab notebook as well as write experiment summary/reports.
