Job Description

Data Operations is aligned to the Chief Data Office (CDO) which is responsible
for improving the quality, integrity and reliability of the firm’s critical
data. The organization’s objectives are to explain the path that
critical data follows, improve data quality, reduce ambiguity and inconsistent
terminology, enhance transparency, rationalize the number of replicated data
assets, and improve firmwide sharing of information and best practices.
The CDO serves as the governing body to create Firmwide standards that drive
consistent data management practices, develop technologies and processes to
support data management processes, partner with lines of business and functional
groups to embed data management best practices and capabilities, and ensure
sustainability by refining, measuring, and improving the firm’s ability to
manage data.

Descriptionof role, functions and activities

Pricing & Common Reference (IPC) Data is an operating unit center of
excellence providing a global reference data service to multiple lines of
business across J.P. Morgan as one of its three core offerings.

mission is to be the centralized provider of reference data and data services
to any consumer in the firm by providing high quality, timely and comprehensive
data, in a controlled and standardized manner such that it reduces risk and
total cost of data ownership. The integration of reference data drives
consistency and accuracy of product reference data across the firm.

Instrument Index Calculation Agent team in Delaware is responsible for managing
the data quality and reliability of market instruments across: Fixed income
universe; Fixed income bonds included in the JP Morgan’s global fixed income flagship
benchmarks, through controlled operational processes and industry best

team interacts daily with the Global Index Research Group, a part of the JP
Morgan Corporate Investment Banking (CIB) Research, across its global footprint
(in New York, London and Asia) to ensure that the index processes, requests and
systems are operating efficiently. Functions performed by the wider team in CIB
include: fixed income market research to produce robust cutting-edge benchmark
products and custom solutions for institutional investors and ETF providers,
across the globe; client interaction for strategic queries on index products; commercialization
of index services and analytical tools to buy-side clients and vendors; implementation
of new index analytics tools and platform for better client service.

KeyResponsibilities and Skills:

+ Create or maintain a range of FixedIncome products as part of a daily operational support team

+ Update/modify assets based oninternal client & system initiated changes

+ Perform complex researchthrough Bloomberg or Reuters to find missing or additional informationrequired to complete set up or maintenance

+ Monitor rejects queue andclears them on a timely basis

+ Handling and monitoring issueand query mailsand escalating issuespromptly to the Team Lead

+ A proactive approach to problemsolving, taking ownership of issues and having the determination to followthings through

+ Assist in the migration of legacy datasets to acentralized data repository

+ Participate/coordinate inspecial projects such as; data clean up, process improvement analysis,metrics reporting

+ Plan and prioritize allprojects handled by the team

+ Ensuring Checklist, Metrics andEnd Of Day activities are completed and signed off

+ Ensuring timely update/reviewof SOPs, Issue Logs and Project tracker

+ Relationship Management

- Communicate

with internal clients on a frequent basis

- Manage client expectations and build a good


+ Participateand present in client monthly meetings

+ Contributeto ongoing developments of the instrument control process

+ 2+years of experience in Fixed Income related roles

+ Demonstratean understanding and interest in bonds and financial markets and products

+ Knowledgeof industry activities – particularly corporate actions, indexbenchmarking and fixed income products

+ Knowledge of reference dataproviders like BLOOMBERG, REUTERS, etc. a plus

+ IntermediateMS Excel skills, including pivot tables and v-look ups

+ Stronganalytical/problem solving skills and attention to detail

+ Self-motivatedand proactive with the proven ability to work accurately and under pressureto meet deadlines

+ Demonstrateability to effectively communicate within a team environment and interactacross departments

+ Abilityto work independently and multi-task in a fast paced environment

+ Strongdatabase/SQL knowledge a plus

+ Demonstratecustomer focus and follow-up skills

+ Therole requires flexible working hours to cover early starts and/or latefinishes as demanded by the business

+ Graduate/post-graduate degree orequivalent required
