Dolle’s Candyland, Inc d.b.a Dolles Candyland-Ibachs Candy by the Sea is looking to fill Cook Positions in Rehoboth Beach, DE. This is a temporary, full-time peak load position and we are looking to fill 10 job openings for employment from April 1, 2020 to December 15, 2020. Work will be performed at Dolles Candyland (1 Rehoboth Ave) and Ibachs Candy by the Sea (9 Rehoboth Ave), Rehoboth Beach, DE.
Duties: Follow recipes to produce cooked confectionery items such as fudge, caramel, brittles, and popcorn. Set up and operate cooking, baking, and mixing equipment. Manipulate products, by hand or using machines, to separate, cut, pull, or roll products. Prepare product for sale by weighing, slicing, bagging, sealing and labeling. Move products, materials, or equipment between work areas. Clean and sterilize production equipment and processing areas. Upon hire must be willing to undergo criminal background checks to verify that worker is clear from crimes involving theft and violent felonies. Terms & Conditions of Employment: $14.28/hr, at least 35hrs/wk, Monday – Sunday, rotating shifts 9:00AM until 4:00PM and 4:00PM until 11:00PM (schedule varies). No overtime. The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Workers will be paid on Wednesday (weekly) by check. The employer will make all deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by law and will not make any deductions, which are not required by law. Transportation: From the place from which the worker has come to work, whether in the U.S. or abroad, to the place of employment, if the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $ 12.46 per day during travel to a maximum of $55.00 per day with receipts. First Work Week Reimbursement – Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees) incurred. Tools, equipment & supplies: The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. 3/4th Guarantee – The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
