Job Description

Sequoia Landscaping, Inc., is looking to fill Landscaping Workers positions in Dagsboro, DE. This is a temporary, full-time, peak load position and we are looking to fill 10 job openings for employment from April 1, 2020 to November 30, 2020.
Duties: Landscape or maintain grounds of property using hands, power tools and equipment. Perform a variety of tasks such as: sod laying, mowing, trimming, planting, watering, fertilizing, pruning, trimming, digging, raking, sprinkler installation, decorating gardens with stones or plants, installation of rock gardens, ponds, decks and mortarless segmental concrete masonry wall units. Requirements:
No education or prior work experience is required. Must be willing to work weekends and holidays. Must be able to lift 50lbs. This position requires constant standing, bending, and reaching. On the job training The employer will provide on-the-job training in the proper use of landscaping equipment. Worksite Locations:
Work will be performed in multiple worksites throughout Dagsboro area including the Sussex county, Delaware and the Worcester county, Maryland. Work will be performed in the following cities. Cities in Sussex county, DE: Dagsboro, Lewes, Rehoboth Beach, Milton, Georgetown, Millsboro, Ocean View, Frankford, Millville, Bethany Beach, Selbyville, Fenwick Island. Cities in Worcester county, MD: Berlin, Bishopville, Ocean City. Terms & Conditions of Employment: Employer will offer at least 35hours per week, at a rate of $13.87 per hour, Monday – Sunday, 7:30AM until 4:00PM (depending on weather conditions). Overtime will be available as needed at a rate of $20.81 per hour. The employer will use a single workweek as its standard for computing wages due. Workers will be paid on Friday (bi-weekly) by check. The employer will make all deductions from the worker’s paycheck required by law and will not make any deductions, which are not required by law. Inbound/Outbound Transportation and Subsistence: From the place from which the worker has come to work, whether in the U.S. or abroad, to the place of employment, if the worker completes 50 percent of the work contract period, the employer will arrange and pay directly for transportation and subsistence from the place of recruitment to the place of work. Upon completion of the work contract or where the worker is dismissed earlier, the employer will provide or pay for worker’s reasonable costs of return transportation and subsistence back home or to the place the worker originally departed to work, except where the worker will not return due to subsequent employment with another employer or where the employer has appropriately reported a worker’s voluntary abandonment of employment. The amount of transportation payment or reimbursement will be equal to the most economical and reasonable common carrier for the distances involved. Daily subsistence will be provided at a rate of at least $ 12.46 per day during travel to a maximum of $55.00 per day with receipts. Daily Transportation: Workers are responsible for daily transportation to and from the designated pick-up location at the Dagsboro, DE office. Employer will then provide each work crew, at no charge to worker, with daily transportation among the worksite locations in Sussex county, DE and Worcester county, MD, as well as transportation back to office in Dagsboro, DE. First Work Week Reimbursement – Workers will be reimbursed in the first workweek for all visa, visa processing, border crossing and other related fees, including those mandated by the government (except passport fees) incurred. Tools, equipment & supplies: The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. 3/4th Guarantee – The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
