Job Description:

Operations Consultant supporting Tactical / Intraday Planning Optimization related functions for the Claims Resolution & Recovery Lines of Business. Responsibilities include inventory management for various work baskets, volume/aging tactical forecasts and strategy alignment. Researches and resolves complex operational issues, analyzes data, identifies trends, sets priorities and provides feedback and recommendations to leadership. Implements procedures to meet production deadlines, successfully executes service level agreements and manages relationships with business partners and FLU leaders. Ensures quality standards are met or exceeded. Candidate will be responsible for assisting in driving operational excellence, including strong performance results.

Proven leadership skills to work closely with team mates to ensure performance is maximized and the team achieves results. Excellent communication and follow up skills required. Is flexible and works well with on-going change. Must have excellent communication skills to help drive optimal performance results. Will be making frequent presentations and delivering to leadership.

Additional responsibilities include providing reporting on shrinkage and productivity results. The candidate will be expected to have strong technical skills to help develop and enhance existing strategic models or reporting templates.

Should have in-depth understanding of the business unit’s operation processes and implications on other groups or divisions within the company.

Required Skills:

+ Quantitative analyst experience (2+ years), including skills like data mining and statistics with SQL, SAS or similar platform

+ 2+ years of claims support or operations experience

+ Advance skills in Excel, PowerPoint, Word & SharePoint

+ Experience with presenting data to various levels of leadership and business partners

+ Ability to manage multiple projects in a complex and rapidly-changing environment

+ Excellent time management skills

+ Detail oriented

+ Excellent verbal and written communication skills

+ Strong evidence of leveraging analytics and data in decision-making and problem solving skills

+ Must be a voracious learner, a self-starter, and results oriented

+ Ability to work independently as well as part of a virtual team

+ Bachelor degree or equivalent work experience

Desired Skills:

+ 2+ years with forecasting experience

+ Has usedSharePoint Designer to create forms

+ Detailed knowledge of IEX

+ Familiar with maintaining an access database

+ Experience with Tableau

+ Experience working within the Bank’s data infrastructure (SQL Server, Teradata, etc.)

+ Project / Change Management experience

+ Must be able to manage through ambiguity and change in a fast-paced multi-functional environment

Enterprise Description:

Responsible for the day-to-day resolution of complex problems and the execution of complex transactions for a single site/business unit or smaller business unit(s), including research. Participates in the design, development and implementation of complex products, systems and services in an operations environment. May manage projects and direct activities of a team related to special initiatives of an operations nature. Should function as the technical expert in their assigned area. Major accountabilities are based on individual expertise and capabilities. Should have in-depth understanding of the business unit’s operations processes and implications on other groups within the operations function and other divisions within the company. Knowledge acquired through increasingly responsible operations analysis work. Clearly recognized as a content expert by peers. Bachelor degree or equivalent preferred. Individual typically has 3-5 years of experience.
