Chase Consumer & Community Banking (CCB) serves consumers and small businesses with a broad range of financial services, including personal banking, small business banking and lending, mortgages, credit cards, payments, auto finance and investment advice. Consumer & Community Banking Risk Management partners with each CCB sub-line of business to identify, assess, prioritize and remediate risk. Types of risk that occur in consumer businesses include fraud, reputation, operational, credit, market and regulatory, among others
The primary purpose is to perform Model Analytics and Portfolio Analysis functions supporting capital analytics within CCB.
+ Lead development and implementation of RWA Forecast models using Quantitative methodology utilizing upstream loan level forecasting model initiatives to support stress testing and Business planning exercises.
+ Provide model documentation to Model Review/Governance for RWA Forecasting model and support in model approval processes/procedures/controls.
+ Perform forecasting, analysis and reporting regarding model performance, trends and provide recommendations to assist in Business decision making.
+ Develop variance analysis using capital/loss forecast model outputs based on portfolio trends, planned business actions and model components/assumptions.
+ Partner with quantitative modeling teams to provide vision, business intuition, and build best-in-class models and analytical frameworks for forecasting risk weighted assets.
+ Support Capital Forecast model stress testing – CCAR/ICAAP/Budget Risk Appetite Forecasts for RWA.
+ Perform analysis on the forecast initiatives, interpreted results and assisted in making recommendations which impact the line of business.
+ Test, validate and perform outcome analysis to challenge existing and new models and assumptions.
+ Identify model issues and limitations and explain findings to the CRO and CFO
+ Provide thought leadership to complex business problems by guiding and challenging the modeling apparatus or status quo.
+ Partner closely with model development, and the implementation teams.
+ Adopt and implement best practices and standards for model development, testing, and validation.
+ Create documentation and presentations and communicate results to senior managers
+ 7+ years of experience working in riskmodeling, model validation, or advanced risk analytics. Preference will begiven to candidates with prior experience in model development or modelvalidation
+ Masters in quantitative fields(economics, sciences, statistics, engineering, etc.)
+ Ability to leverage large complex dataand models to synthetize and summarize findings and guide business actions
+ Strong programming skills in SAS, SQLand/or Python
+ Strong analytical/problem solving skillsand attention to detail
+ Self-motivated and pro-active withproven ability to work accurately and under pressure to meet deadlines
+ Ability to work well under pressure bystaying focused
+ Ability to summarize and explain clearlylarge and complex information to a wide range of audiences (seniormanagers, audit, controller, finance, model developers, regulators andcontrols)
+ Very strongcommunication skills as this role requires close interaction with seniorleaders across the firm
