Background & Position Summary

Citi US Branded Cards is a market leader in the credit card industry. With a pre-eminent global brand and distribution, US Branded Cards maintains its leadership position by delivering industry-leading products, advanced services and payment systems that address clients’ evolving needs.

This position is part of the Lending Product team, within the larger US Branded Cards organization. The Lending Product team is responsible for building and managing products that best meet consumer needs related to borrowing and deliver sustainable revenue growth for Citi. This includes Non-Card Unsecured Lending products, such as Personal Loans, and On-Card Lending features, such as Flex Loan and Flex Pay, which have just launched this year. This team oversees the P&L for our existing product suite, as well as product feature backlogs, positioning, customer experience, and operational excellence for those products.

The VP, Lending Portfolio Management position will be responsible for the Lending Portfolio performance and financials, managing forecasts and investments. Additionally, will lead the creation of business cases and sensitivities, and coordinate Risk Strategy and Decision Management to deliver sustainable revenue growth for Citi. This will include partnering with Product Managers, Product Development, Decision Management, Risk and Finance.

Key Responsibilities

+ Obtain deep understanding of financial drivers for the Lending business to optimize performance across the Unsecured Lending products.

+ Develop key portfolio analysis to assist Product Manager and Product Development to understand portfolio trends to develop growth strategies. Prepare and present findings to leadership and collaborate to translate findings into business decisions.

+ Create well-defined business cases and sensitivities for new initiatives

+ Work closely with Decision Management, Risk and Finance to develop and build robust forecasting and tracking capabilities

+ Partner with Risk to review credit criteria to continually improve performance as well as Risk/Revenue dynamics

Candidate Qualifications

+ 5+ years in portfolio management, product management, data analytics or similar role

+ Bachelor’s degree in Business, Computer Science, Engineering or related field

+ Understanding of key revenue and expense drivers. Ability to grasp and synthesize financial product concepts pertaining to controls, regulations, pricing, risk, sales trends and competitive information.

+ Ability to conduct the necessary analysis to provide support for addressing the business problem and the basis for program strategy/execution. Utilization of data and facts to support decision making for senior managers.

+ Strong ability to communicate face-to-face and in writing

+ Demonstrates problem-solving skills to be able to respond quickly and creatively to complex issues

+ Results-orientation and strong sense of urgency with proven leadership skills who thrives in high expectation situations involving multiple stakeholders across a matrixed organization
