As part of the Manufacturing Execution and Test System (METS) group this position will support project managers and project engineers in the material procurement and status reporting of software-driven manufacturing testers that assess the production readiness of electro-mechanical assemblies, detection systems, and printed circuit assemblies.
In this role, the individual will coordinate closely with team members to request quotes from suppliers, procure material as well as engineering services and track the delivery of procured material or engineering services.
This individual will track all project purchase orders and invoices to specific Tester serial numbers so the business can document the value of each Tester instance with traceability back to all purchase orders and invoices.
This candidate will also support the project manager in planning all project costs as well as recording and documenting all actual and committed project costs.
A successful candidate will have excellent organization skills and be able to collect, manage, and report on large data.
30% travel time to US and Global Mfg sites
Required Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Electrical / Mechanical Engineer with 2 – 5 years related experience.
Ability to interface with cross functional groups and suppliers to obtain and distribute information
Highly proficient in MS Project with experience to create and understand project schedules
Ability to use and understand procurement systems
Experience in requesting supplier quotes, procuring material, tracking material receipts and approving supplier invoices
Understanding of how project budgets are created monitored and controlled
Highly proficient in Microsoft Excel with experience in using Excel to manage large data sets
Ability and experience on project schedule reporting to management
Ability to read and create testing schematic diagrams for material procurement
Ability to create documentation packages and track the procurement of material
Interface experience with R&D, Manufacturing, Supply Chain, Quality and Regulatory functions
Highly self-motivated, self-directed, team orientated, and exceptionally attentive to detail
Ability to work independently in a fast paced new product development environment
Excellent written, oral, planning and interpersonal communication skills with the ability to discuss or explain design features or issues with all level engineers, designers and drafters
Proactively resolves issues in a timely manner so that they do not affect project timelines.
Proficient current industry software and Microsoft Office
Preferred Knowledge/Skills, Education, and Experience
Ability to read and create testing schematic diagrams
Experience in design and manufacturing in a new product development environment
Understanding of manufacturing process validation
Experience with SAP
Experience with using and understanding supplier contracts
