Job Description

ChristianaCare is looking to hire a full time BE/BC Division Chief of Ambulatory Pediatrics to join our employed Outpatient Pediatric Practice; ChristianaCare Pediatric Associates. The position includes 50% administrative time and 50% clinical time at one of our clinical locations.

The Division Chief position is open due to organizational growth and will be part of an excellent team providing care to over 40,000 pediatric patients. The successful candidate will provide both academic leadership and clinical oversite to 90 ambulatory providers.

Job Details

ChristianaCare has ambulatory pediatric or medicine/pediatric practices at Christiana Hospital (906 beds),Wilmington Hospital (321 beds) and various community locations. Travel to ambulatory sites as needed to offer practice improvement strategies and streamline processes will be required. Through population health initiatives that align with ChristianaCare’s standards of care the Division Chief will also partner with senior leadership to further grow and develop the ambulatory pediatric services footprint.

Each physician has their own medical assistant as well as daily support from the teams’ Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioners and nurses. There is also a nightly answering service covered by additional pediatric nurse practitioners offering an ideal work/life balance for the physicians.
