•Lead in the preparation and coordination of complex financial analysis and projections for existing and potential strategic partnerships and initiatives in the Card & Unsecured Lending business (including Co-brand and Private Label portfolios, where teamwork and influence are required for efficiency).
•Drive the creation and refinement of analytical data repositories to support performance analysis and presentations highlighting insights.
•Identify financial opportunities or issues, lead and/or conduct the necessary analysis to develop options and offer well supported recommendations. This includes strong written and in-person presentation skills.
•Collaborate on special projects.
•Provide recommendations for identifying and implementing improvements
•Develop specialized analytical tools for project or ongoing use for portfolio level profitability as well as per account lifetime values.
•Lead or assist in the development and implementation of reporting of business results, metrics and analytical support for all areas of the US Credit Card business.
•Demonstrate understanding of the whole financial function and the key business areas supported.
•Assists with leading activities of unit, assigning, prioritizing and monitoring work.
•Provides training and mentoring for new staff.

The Business Line Financial Manager II – Valuation & Analysis provides leadership in a variety of business initiatives for the US Cards & Unsecured Lending business. In this position you will produce both financial analyses and presentations as well as provide mentorship and training to staff as part of the Decision Sciences team. You will be responsible for providing financial consulting and analytical insights, or total segment level identifying key emerging financial trends, measurement of critical metrics and success factors, line of business and total segment financial target setting and measurement, key initiative evaluation and planning, cost and product profitability analyses and leadership support for special projects. The candidate for this position will be an individual contributor with strong analytical and interpersonal skills and experience in delivering business analysis and advice. Position may lead staff members.

•Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance or Economics or Master’s degree in Finance
•7+ years’ experience preferred in financial services in credit card.
•Programming skills is SAS, SQL, Tableau, Alteryx, Essbase and VBA are desirable.
•In-depth knowledge of financial analysis, query expertise, financial model-building and comprehensive knowledge of balance sheet and income statement metrics, ratios and calculations
•Ability to employ complex analytical tools and statistics to perform analysis and forecasting of financial and other business information.
•Ability to successfully plan, develop, lead, and execute projects.
•Strong interpersonal and consultative communication skills with well-developed presentation skills.
•Ability to lead meaningful priorities effectively, making good decisions based on business priorities and objectives.
