Maintenance / Reliability Engineer (Job Number: 207484W-01)

Description

The Maintenance Engineer reports to the Site Maintenance Leader;
will provide field technical and engineering support to the Work Execution/Do
Work team on a daily basis; will be the focal point and have accountability for
the management of the preventative (PM) and predictive (PdM) maintenance programs; will manage the spare
parts stocking program in conjunction with the Material Coordinator; will
support the Reliability GMISS program as a technical resource; will be accountable
to work with operations on equipment strategies for their critical pieces of
equipment; will be a key resource and make effective use of the NEA/Diamond
Systems SAP system; will participate in achieving the company quality goals;
operates in compliance with company safety practices; and performs other duties
as assigned.

+ Accountability for the execution and administration of thepreventative (PM) and predictive (PdM) maintenance programs (PPM CoordinatorRole)

+ Provides technical expertise to plant personnel ontroubleshooting failures, repairs, and evaluating whether equipment is designedto meet its intended or existing service conditions

+ Ensures repairs, repair techniques, and equipment specifictraining are documented

+ Serves as the subject matter expert for equipment failuresand repair techniques during root cause investigations

+ Provides oversight for all offsite equipment repairs

+ Identifies future equipment repairs of significant value(> $25,000) to be included in the budgeting process

+ Maintains equipment strategies on critical pieces ofequipment for each of the Operations areas

+ Knowledge of all codes and documents required by SOP

+ Knowledge of all related equipment such as electrical andpneumatic control systems, motors, drives, heating and ventilating equipment,compressors, pumps, blowers, ovens, shafts/bearings, heat transfer systems,material handling systems, process piping and waste water removal systems

+ Knowledgeable in the use of mechanical diagnostic equipmentand techniques including vibration analysis, oil analysis, and thermography

+ Ensures operations meet all Delaware state requirements

+ Knowledge of setting and aligning all related equipment

+ Plans, designs, interprets and works from standard andnon-standard blueprints and drawings

+ Ability to recognize conflicts in design prior to workbeginning

Qualifications

+ 4-year Bachelor of Science (BS) degree required; Mechanical,Electrical, or Industrial Engineering degree preferred

+ Minimum 1+ year experience. Prior maintenance staffexperience in a chemical or manufacturing environment is required

+ Knowledge and past usage of the following NEA/DiamondSystems CMMS system modules is strongly suggested – maintenance moduleincluding work order initiation and processing; PM Module including creation ofmaintenance task lists and items/plans; and the stores module

+ Advanced mechanical knowledge in the maintenance trades isrequired Knowledge of rotatingequipment (rotating equipment, air compressors, pumps, mixers, etc.) isrequired. Electrical experience is also desiredbut not required. Troubleshootingability is necessary

+ Independent and self-driven worker with minimal supervision

+ The ability to make critical judgments during the productionprocess are necessary

+ Strong written and verbal communication skills and personalcomputer skills required

+ Proficiency in the uses, designation, and size of allmaterials related to the trade specialty

+ Ability to correctly interpret blueprints and P&ID’s.

+ Perform other duties as assigned

Engineering, Industrial, Chemical, Electrical, or equivalent degree

PHYSICALREQUIREMENTS :
This position requires the ability to work in seated or standing
positions for prolonged periods of time, perform office and clerical duties
including use of office tools, and to travel between office and plant
environments of varied temperatures and humidity

WORKINGENVIRONMENT :
The working environment is general office and manufacturing plant. Daily contact with employees in other
departments is required
