1. Overview

Athletic Trainer- PRN

Provides prevention and care of athletic and orthopedic injuries, including therapeutic rehabilitation under supervision and written referral from a physician. is also accountable for the assessment, management, treatment, rehabilitation, conditioning and performance training of the physically active person whose conditions are with in the professional preparation and education of a certified athletic trainer.

1. Responsibilities

• Responsible for the treatment and supervision of treatment of all minor athletic injuries and conditions
• Responsible for referring athletic injuries to physicians for diagnosis and treatment
• Develops and Supervises appropriate rehabilitation programs for athletes under the supervision of a physician
• Responsible for the safe operation, inventory, and requisition of all athletic training supplies and equipment
• Responsible for completing athletic and fitness assessments for wellness and sports performance clients
• Responsible for developing and providing effective conditioning and sports performance training programs for clients registered in the sports performance and health and wellness programs
• Cooperates with the Director of Clinical Services and Human Performance to ensure all services are appropriately charged and claims are generated in a timely manner
• Follows clinic controls protecting staff, physical plant, financial and information resources
• Develops and Maintains positive relationships with physicians, external customers and internal customers

1. Qualifications

Education:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Science or Healthcare field preferred
• NATA certification or licensure as an LAT in the state which the hospital resides is required

Experience:

• 1-2 years of clinical experience is required
