The Firmwide Regulatory Reporting & Analysis (FRRA) team
is responsible for providing accurate, complete and consistent data for
aggregation and analysis in support of critical regulatory requirements for the
SEC, Federal Reserve Bank, OCC, FDIC, and FFIEC. The FRRA team supports the line of business
external reporting teams and our goal is to continuously improve the reporting
process through enhancements to the control environment and the operating
The VicePresident is responsible for leading a team in the production of selected
footnotes and disclosures for inclusion in the consolidated quarterly financial
statements (10-Q/10-K) for JPMorgan Chase & Co. and JPMorgan Chase Bank,
N.A., as well as other reports filed with the Federal Reserve Bank and OCC such
as the Call Report, FR Y-9C, and others. The candidate will be responsible for
continuing to enhance the controls and efficiency of financial reporting
processes which may include the identification and resolution of issues/errors,
tracking and resolution of data quality issues and implementing process
improvements to reduce cycle time.
Additionally, this role requires the
+ Coordinate multiple aspects of theproduction and review of monthly, quarterly, semi-annual, and annual reportsfiled with various regulatory agencies.
+ Effectively manage multiplepriorities and deliverables under tight timelines.
+ Identify gaps in current reportingprocesses and lead the implementation of new controls and strategic solutions toensure the integrity of reported financial results.
+ Lead strategic initiatives andongoing improvements in reporting processes.
+ Maintain familiarity with accountingpronouncements and disclosure requirements. Participate in firm wide projectgroups to implement changes in reporting requirements.
+ Establish and manage relationships,partnerships and dialogue with a variety of stakeholders in a highly matrixedorganization.
+ Work extended hours during peakperiods including some weekends.
+ 8+ yearstotal relevant work experience (accounting or banking industry preferred)
+ Priorexperience with team management required
+ Demonstrableunderstanding of financial statements and disclosures required
+ BachelorsDegree required; Accounting or Finance degree preferred
+ Excellentcommunication abilities, both written and oral.
+ Comfortableworking with large quantities of data, including strong reconciliation andprocess management experience.
+ Strongtechnical skills in Excel. Database experience also helpful.
+ Stronganalytical skills in interpretation of data and identification of anomalies.
+ Independentworker who is self-motivated; Comfortable working independently in a dynamicand challenging environment.
+ Detailoriented, strong organizational and time management skills.
+ Results-oriented/ delivery focused; ability to deliver high-quality results under tightdeadlines.
+ Familiaritywith JP Morgans Corporate Financial Architecture (SAP, Finance ReferenceData, Merit, Hyperion, CDGL, P&F) a plus
+ CPA / Big 4Experience a plus
