JPMorgan Chase’s ( JPMC) Credit ReviewGroups are led by the Global Head of Credit Review, reporting through theGeneral Auditor to the Audit Committee of the Board of Directors and is furtheraccountable to the Chairman and CEO, senior management, and externalregulators.
The ConsumerCredit Review group is responsible for reviewing the credit process in retaillending (non-risk graded) portfolios at the firm. The group focuses on Consumer & CommunityBanking (Auto Finance, Business Banking, Card Services, and Home Lending) andconsumer-related portfolios within Asset & Wealth Management.
The ConsumerCredit Review teams perform independent reviews of JPMC retail loan portfoliosthat include an evaluation of the adequacy and accuracy of lending decisions,consistent application of risk policy and credit procedures, analysis ofunderwriting standards and practices, and determining through ongoingmonitoring the overall assessment of asset quality. Furthermore, the team assesses whethersufficient controls are in place to mitigate credit risk to the firm.
Thisposition is responsible for assisting the Credit Review Officers and Manager inevaluating the firm’s credit card portfolios. The Credit Review Associatewill work with members of the Credit Review team to analyze consumer and/orsmall business credit card transactions and perform assessments of credit card underwriting,portfolio management, and credit risk management. Through these review activities, the team willindependently opine on the adequacy of underwriting analysis, appropriatenessof credit decisions, and effectiveness of the credit management processsupporting credit quality. Between periodic credit reviews, the CreditReview Associate assists with other team functions, such as independently monitoringcredit risk trends within certain credit card portfolios and partnering withour Data Analytics & Solutions professionals to support innovation.This position will report to the Credit Review Manager of Card Services and islocated in Wilmington, DE.
+ As team member, the Credit Review Associate will participate inreviews led by Credit Review team members. This includes analyzingthe credit underwriting quality of individual transactions, recording testresults and conclusions in a work paper database, and participatingactively in all review meetings.
+ Perform continuous monitoring of credit card portfolios.
+ Collaborate with team members.
+ Serve as an information resource on credit cards, consumer creditrisk, and policy.
+ Ensure consistent application of firmwide risk policy, creditprocedures, and Consumer Credit Review policies and procedures.
+ Complete special projects and research as assigned by the CreditReview Manager.
+ Experiencedcredit professional with a minimum of five years credit card experience, preferablywith a background in credit card underwriting and/or credit riskmanagement.
+ Credit cardindustry experience.
+ Knowledge ofcredit card underwriting principles.
+ Ability tore-underwrite consumer or small business credit card credit decisionsusing original electronic source documents or data.
+ PreviousCredit Review experience is preferred, but not necessary.
+ MinimumBachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, or a relateddiscipline.
+ Demonstratedunderstanding of credit card principles, financial analysis, and stronganalytical skills.
+ Goodverbal and written communication and interpersonal skills with ability topresent complex and sensitive issues.
+ Enthusiastic,self-motivated, effective in a dynamic fast-paced environment and willingto take personal risk, demonstrates responsibility, and accountability.
