Job Description

Consolidation Senior Analyst

Chemours is seeking a Consolidation Senior Analyst to join our growing Finance team! This position will report directly to the Manager – Close, Consolidation & Systems in our Wilmington, DE location. This role works closely with the External Reporting, Accounting Policy, Treasury, Tax, Investor Relations and Legal departments, as well as with finance management located in the various businesses.

The responsibilities of the position include, but are not limited to, the following:

  • Preparation of consolidated financial reports and related footnote disclosures in compliance with US GAAP and applicable SEC rules and regulations in conjunction with Chemours’ quarterly and annual financial statements;
  • Maintains general ledgers and performs the complete accounting cycle in compliance with established practices and GAAP;
  • Analyzes, classifies, and reviews complex accounting transactions and interrelationships;
  • Analysis of balance sheet and income statement accounts to ensure completeness and accuracy of the global financials;
  • Coordinate financial data/analysis with the External Reporting group;
  • SAP general ledger accounting for the Corporate Accounting team;
  • Holding company accounting
  • Equity affiliate accounting
  • Foreign exchange accounting
  • Ensure compliance with SOX and other internal controls
  • Identify and initiate process improvements for functional productivity

Other responsibilities:

  • Analyze relevant financial data;
  • Perform technical research as necessary;
  • Assist with implementation of new accounting standards relevant to consolidation
  • Interact with global controllership and independent public accountants on audit matters
  • Assist management with various ad hoc analyses and presentations;
  • Work on special projects

In order to be qualified for this role, you /must possess/ the following:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting
  • 4-6 years combined industry and public accounting experience
  • Understanding of US GAAP accounting standards
  • Demonstrated ability to effectively manage multiple priorities in a dynamic fast-paced environment
  • Self-directed and accountable
  • Works well in teams with an ability to interact at all levels of the organization
  • Strong oral, written and interpersonal skills

The following skill sets are /preferred/ by the business unit:

  • CPA
  • Familiarity with SAP, Oracle Hyperion Financial Manager (HFM) and Account Reconciliation Close Solutions (ARCS)
