Global Marketing Manager (Job Number: 207125W-01)
The specialty markets include the dynamic bioprocessing segment as well as the nutrition (sweetener separations) which are growing >8% annually driven by clean labeling for food and beverage, advanced healthcare needs and specialized separation or purifications.
DWS participates in the specialty separations and purifications space today with the portfolio of current technologies (RO, IER, UF) which enable ionic level purity of critical processing streams. DWS is currently exploring growth options in the bioprocessing segment where established and new technologies are growing rapidly. Current sales are ~$240M for DWS with grow projected to increase to >$345M by 2023 as aggressive growth plans are finalized.
Reporting to the DWS Global Marketing Leader, the GMM is responsible for developing and leading the global segment strategy, identifying new business models and geographic expansions and managing an innovation portfolio of current and future technologies by working with cross-functional and cross-geographical teams. The GMM will also lead a focused team of regional marketing managers. Deliverables will include a strategic market plan for the growing segments, product launches, channel development and implementation, and new business model development.
o Development of a comprehensive marketing strategy, shaping that strategy with a well aligned execution plan, enabling the business to meet the aggressive growth projections identified for this market segment.
o Lead and coach a focused marketing team to deliver agreed upon goals and results. Attract and recruit top talent, motivate the team, delegate effectively, celebrate diversity within the team, manage team performance and enable development of all team members.
o Evaluate and refine the global market-in innovation portfolio with our DWS technical partners.
o Investigate and recommend new technology platforms to add to the DWS portfolio in bioprocessing, nutrition and other high value segments, creating additional revenue growth for the business.
o Work collaboratively with other adjacent global marketing teams and extended regional commercial teams to understand market-in information.
o Develop and implement the overall strategy for focused geographic expansion.
o Act as a change agent, modeling the appropriate behaviors in the business to deliver growth.
• Demonstrated business and financial acumen with ability to collect and analyze data and communicate insights effectively. Ability to quickly understand unfamiliar markets through primary research and analysis and develop strategic plans to address those markets.
• A leader who naturally connects and builds strong relationships with others, demonstrates strong emotional intelligence and possesses the ability to communicate clearly and persuasively.
• A people manager with experience successfully leading and coaching a team of marketing professionals
• A highly motivated and results-driven professional with excellent interpersonal skills. A change agent who conveys a sense of urgency and drives issues to closure.
• Solid organization skills including attention to detail and multi-tasking skills. Strong project management expertise. A strategic thinker.
• B2B based market experience
• A B.S. degree is required in a business or technical field; MBA strongly preferred
• Ability to travel up to 40% of time
• +10 years in marketing and business development preferred
• +5 years’ experience in B2B marketing preferred
• +2 years’ strategic market planning experience preferred
• Working in multi-cultural, multi-region experience preferred
