Desktop Solutions Engineer (Job Number: 207153W-01)



The Workplace Technologies Solution
Engineer works within the IT&P Enterprise Technology Solutions organization
to improve user experience, implement principles for workplace / EUC
architecture, monitor operations, design solutions, and provide services to
meet business/user needs.


Technologies Solution Engineers improve user experience by targeting end user
and workplace issues, ensuring compliance with security and software policies,
and supporting the Workplace Technologies Leader and Workplace Architects in
building towards industry-leading infrastructures, including evergreen IT
components and virtual solutions. He or
she also helps ensure technical solutions meet function and performance requirements
and adhere to architecture guidelines and implementation schedules.

Yourkey responsibilities:

+ Understand businessneeds and develop vision for technology solution to align with businessrequirements

+ Build workplace solutionsconsistent with defined architectural principles

+ Identify technicalconfiguration needs across systems to integrate solutions with existing systems

+ Build detailedimplementation plans/milestones for EUC / workplace initiatives; socialize withkey decision makers

+ Write code to build workplacesolutions according to technical requirements

+ Perform code reviewsfor code authored by development team or vendors

+ Perform technicalconfiguration to integrate solutions with existing workplace systems

+ Evaluate technicaldesign, architecture and integration of technology solutions in proposals andsolutions delivered by vendors

+ Work with QualityAssurance team to develop test plans and validate functionality and performanceof solutions

+ Work with our Run and Maintain teams to identifyopportunities in existing solutions to improve performance and increasealignment with business needs

+ Design and deliverupdates in the form of new features to existing solutions

+ Create technicaldocumentation for maintenance of code and architecture


Your Qualification Profile

+ Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science,Information Systems, Computer Engineering

+ Minimum 6 Years of related technical experience

+ Knowledge of enterprise systems andapplications, including Windows 10, SCCM, Client Imaging Solution, Azure

+ Knowledge of virtual desktop infrastructure,administration and support

+ Ability to write code, configure systems, deployupdates

+ Knowledge and experience implementing, andtrouble-shooting issues related to key enterprise desktop applications

+ Familiarity with Waterfall and Agilemethodologies
