Job Description

The Christiana Care Health System is currently recruiting a Full Time as a Registered Nurse to work in the Pre and Post-operative areas (admissions, Phase I PACU and Phase II PACU) at the Christiana Surgery Center location. This is a full-time day shift position. The schedule will consist of rotating day shifts: 0600-1430, 0700-1530, 0730-1600, 0800-1630 and 0900-1730.

We are looking for an energetic PACU Registered Nurse who wants to be a part of our fast- paced Surgery Center team, focused on providing excellent clinical outcomes through caring service to our patients and their families. The individual selected will rotate through all perioperative areas such as admissions, phase 1 and phase 2 recovery areas, and care for both inpatients and outpatients in need of surgical services.


  • BSN Preferred
  • Commitment to obtaining BSN within three years of date of hire can be considered with relevant experience.
  • Qualified applicants MUST have at least two years’ experience. Critical Care, Emergency or Stepdown units. PACU experience preferred.
  • BLS required
  • ACLS required.
  • PALS required. (must get within 6 months of hire.)
  • CCRN or CPAN or CAPA preferred.
