Senior Logistics Consultant, Systems and Information Technology (Job Number: 206924W-01)


The DuPont Sourcing & Logistics group
is seeking to fill an exciting opportunity for a Senior Logistics Consultant,
Systems and Information Technology to join our Global Logistics Procurement
Operations team.

The selected candidate can sit in the following locations: Wilmington, DE or Mechelen, Belgium

This role reports to the Global Customs and Trade Compliance

The main responsibility of this role will be to lead the logistics
organization through major systems-based program enhancements, focused on
simplification of processes, systems improvements and application.

areas of focus: global Customs operation, logistics and supply chain.

This role will also focus on continuous improvement,
monitoring and evaluation of trade compliance business processes, systems and
applications to include but not limited to, GTS, SAP, eCustoms (EU) et al.

Candidate must have the ability to develop insight and understanding
which leads to enhanced compliance, operational and information systems
improvements that are globally applicable. These initiatives will be key to
providing sustainable ways of working for end-to-end supply chain operation,
tactics and strategies.

Candidate must have the ability to create and update process
and procedures to include training guides and testing procedures.

Candidate must have a logistics background with knowledge of
supply chain operations. Excellent collaboration skills across cross-functional
relationships is necessary.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Support the definition of the long-term strategyand architecture for logistics processes, systems and applications in the areasof; trade compliance, trucking, warehousing, air and ocean freight throughcollaboration with the Global Logistics Leadership, Business Units and the ITfunction.

+ Serve as SAP GTS subject matter expert. Providetroubleshooting support as well as detailed guidance to all ancillary supportfunctions on an ongoing basis.

+ Analyze impact, define action plans,problem-solve and execute adaptation of Logistics processes, systems andapplications in relation to initiatives such as new Corporate strategies,MA&D , restructuring of legal entities, changes in supply chain and routeto market, ERP upgrades, etc. or in relation to trade and regulatorydevelopments, such as trade agreements,trade disputes, new or amended trade or tax regulations, etc.

+ Lead multidisciplinary teams in any of theabove-mentioned areas towards successful completion of programs and projectswithin time and budget.

+ Ongoing monitoring of the external landscape toidentify technology and solutions offered by the market and by third party ITand Logistics Service Providers (LSP). Effectively use this information tosupport and enhance business supply chain operations and competitiveness.

+ Assess organizational readiness and identifyopportunities to enhance the value contribution of trade compliance and otherlogistics processes, systems and applications.

+ Seek internal approval and funding based onsound preparation and communication of business cases.

+ Lead the practical implementation of approvedproposals, including mobilization of the necessary resources from businessunits and functions.

+ Work closely with the Trade Compliance team toaddress operational issues related to processes, systems and applicationsprocesses to avoid any impact to DuPont’s businesses partners.

+ Develop a strong network and collaborativeprocess across Global Logistics, the BUs and functions. Act as a liaisonbetween the Global Logistics and IT organizations for the enablement andexecution of Logistics programs and projects.

+ Drive logistics process standardization andtransformation.



Key Skill Components

+ Mastery-level capability to understand the underlying logic and business processes on which the systems and applications are based. Able to support the business processes rather than simply recording tasks performed. This is required to analyze and often document the current processes; what we do and why.

+ Mastery-level capability to understand how systems such as GTS will impact the users and organization. When new business processes are required, this role would provide an initial draft of the processes for review to include training needs once the final design is agreed.

+ Capability to understand the functionality and requirement of the systems we use. The ability to communicate these requirements to users in terms easy to understand.

The Successful Candidate will have

+ Bachelor’s Degree required, minimum of 5 years’ experience within Logistics and IT.

+ Experience of international trade compliance, Customs operations and regulatory requirements impacting multi-national business organizations.

+ Strong understanding and experience with business processes, systems and applications in the areas of import/export operations, trade compliance.

+ SAP knowledge and understanding is a must, specifically, Order to Cash (OTC), Warehouse Management (WM) and Global Trade System (GTS).

+ Proficiency and experience leading large systems-based projects and implementations.

+ roven influencing and negotiating skills necessary to deliver results for large and complex projects.

+ Proven experience leading and managing third party service providers as an integral part of an agile supply chain.

+ The ability to work independently and remotely when necessary.

+ Excellent communication/presentation skills at all levels of a matrixed organization to include senior management.

+ English fluency, oral and written

+ Ability to travel, domestically and internationally as necessary.
