Job Description

Christiana Care VNA is hiring a full time Billing and Collection Specialist to join our dynamic and cohesive team. This team member will work Monday through Friday, normal business hours with no weekend or holiday coverage required. As a Billing and Collection Specialist you will work out of our New Castle County, DE office completing the following:

  • Reviewing patient accounts for accurate, timely submission of claims according to established billing timeframes
  • Understanding and adhering to claim submission requirement of payers, including all necessary attached documentation needed to process claims
  • Analyzing and resolving barriers on standard billing reports
  • Researching all assigned accounts every week/month via Horizon, remittance advices, insurance carrier websites, monthly reports and weekly denial reports

Requirements:

  • High School Diploma or GED
  • 3 years minimum experience in medical collections and medical billing
  • Outstanding customer service and communication skills
