The Financial Accounting,
Infrastructure and Reporting (FAIR) team is
accountable for the integrity of the books and records of the Firm / LOBs and
leading large-scale data, infrastructure, accounting standard and
business process change management events. The function enables governance of
systemic and manual controls, specifically as it impacts the General Ledger,
processing systems, supporting infrastructure and reporting, while also
defining and implementing a global General Ledger target platform strategy.
The team is currently focused on extending the Asset Class
Control (ACC) model, which aligns oversight and control of the end to end
lifecycle for each asset category on the balance sheet.
The team also
provides a centralized program management and business analysis
capability, targeted program governance, and consistent application of program
management standards including system testing and change management practices,
with a current focus on: overseeing
the Data Acquisition framework for strategic and legacy
Finance, T/CIO, and Wholesale Credit Risk platforms; deployment of the Finance
Reporting Infrastructure (FRI) for regulatory and management reporting; and
oversight of the Chief Data Office (CDO) for Finance and T/CIO.
Additionally the team provides oversight for stand-alone projects on behalf of the
Controllers organization (e.g. Brexit, CUSA merger, CECL Reg W, Location
One of the top priorities across Global Finance, Credit Risk and
Liquidity is to evolve the organization to a more integrated data and reporting
strategy – one that is globally consistent and usable for business, finance,
risk and regulatory requirements.
As a member of the FAIR Release Management team, you will work
closely with Line of Business and Asset Class stakeholders, Reporting Subject
Matter Experts (SMEs), and technology teams across Finance.
Primary responsibilities are to drive end-to-end project strategy
discussions and develop and deliver plans for successful project delivery of
firmwide and LOB change events impacting regulatory reporting.
As part of the project team you will have a variety of responsibilities,
including but not limited to:
+ In partnership with reporting SMEs understand variousregulatory reports, asset class data, sourcesystem flows and complexities as it relates to the Finance and Riskapplications and infrastructure
+ Manage an end to end project or release plan inclusive of projector release scope, critical milestones, sourcing requirements, teststrategy and execution and implementation checklists and stakeholder/ technology activities
+ Definea strategic onboarding and deployment plan for reports and schedules basedon data consumer needs, and business benefit to the firm
+ Prioritizethe backlog of user stories for delivery, based on alignment to theschedule deployment plan
+ Engagewith development teams to ensure business needs are translated intoappropriate technical specifications, and acceptance criteria is met
+ Performuser acceptance testing and form an opinion about the overall data qualityimpact pertaining to each change
+ Overseeand/or execute testing activities (data and functional testing, regressiontesting, user interface testing)
+ Identifyand drive solutions for business process re-engineering activities, alongwith creating supporting documentation and end user operational experienceand usage of Finance and Risk platforms.
+ Presentkey project updates and risks with diversestakeholder audiences
+ Build strong relationships with stakeholders in order to influenceand facilitate multiple work streams
+ Bachelor’sdegree required
+ 1-3years of project management and business analysis experience, especiallyin requirements gathering and documentation, process re-engineering andend user testing
+ Strongunderstanding of Financial and/or Regulatory reporting processes;understanding of finance related data is a plus
+ Previousexperience in Financial Services a plus
+ Experiencewith understanding and testing large quantities of data across multipleproducts
+ Knowledgeand experience of traditional credit (Loans, Deposits, Cash) and tradingproducts (Derivatives and Securities) a plus
+ Previousexperience in Finance, Risk or Operations functions a plus
+ Experiencewith Agile delivery and the JIRA tool plus
+ Experiencein creating process flows, presentations, and project plans
+ Abilityto quickly learn and assimilate business and technical knowledge
+ Strongwritten and verbal communication skills, with ability to tailor messagingto various audiences
+ Abilityto lead and influence and build strong relationships with partner teams
+ Strongorganizational skills and ability to manage multiple streams of workconcurrently
