Accounting/Finance Field Program (Job Number: FIN00003192)


DuPontFinance is responsible for the global financial reporting for the entirecompany. This accounting/finance opportunity is an entry level position in theDuPont Accounting/Finance Field Program.Assignments in the Accounting/Finance Field Program may include avariety of Controllership accounting roles, Tax, Credit, Treasury or BusinessAnalysis positions, providing the participant with the chance to explore careerdirections based on his or her strengths and interests. Tenure in eachassignment, while in the program, allows the participant to take fullresponsibility for the work of the position and gain a deeper understanding ofthis aspect of the finance arena.

Anexample of specific initial job duties may include, but are not limited to:

+ Ledger processing – includes loadingdata, execution of programs, distributions, maintenance, and reconciliations.

+ Reporting – maintain routine,standardized reports; revise and reconcile reports to reflect accountingchanges, new accounts, reorganizations, etc.

+ Cost/Variance analysis – varianceanalysis focused on explaining actual costs before, during, and after closing

+ Accounting process – design andimplement accounting and process changes. This is a joint responsibility sharedwith business analysts in case of unique design or process items.

+ Initiate action – responsible forinvestigating and resolving issues/problems that appear within the assignedscope of responsibility. Responsible for ensuring adherence to companyaccounting policies and internal control standards.

+ Provide education, leadership, andguidance to businesses and functions on financial / accounting matters.

+ Initiate improvement initiatives.

+ Analysis of material orproduct costs, including data validation, error correction, issueidentification and resolution

+ Participation in processimprovement projects



+ Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting,Finance or Economics (double majors or minor in MIS is a plus)

+ Recent college graduate to 3 years ofrelevant experience

+ GPA of 3.0 or greater

+ Desktop software skills, particularlyknowledge and use of Microsoft Excel and Word. (Access, Microsoft Project, andSAP a plus)

+ Basic knowledge of internal controlprocesses

+ Candidates should have the ability toapply accounting principles to practical applications, manage multiple tasks,meet deadlines and demonstrate effective planning and organizing skills

+ Strong interpersonal skills, strongoral and written communication skills and the ability to work effectively inteams will allow the candidate to perform efficiently in this position.

+ Must have legal right to work in the USwithout restriction.
