AAA Club Alliance is hiring for a Senior Business Systems Analyst to join our dynamic team at our Wilmington HQ location! The Business Systems Analyst is responsible for identifying business process improvement opportunities, particularly where Information Technology plays an enabling role. This position is also responsible for aligning and integrating information technology with the strategic and operational objectives of AAA Club Alliance (ACA) lines of business and functional groups with the goal of optimizing business performance. This position requires the ability to understand business strategy, assess business needs, identify emerging information technologies and distill them into appropriate business solutions that are consistent with ACA’s strategy and business objectives. This position also assists the business units and support functions in the preparation of enterprise impact assessments, project proposals and annual operating plans (IT portion of budgets) including the definition, estimation, evaluation and justification of information technology related investments.
The ideal candidate will have:
+ Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business or IT related field
+ 5-8+ years’ of applicable experience with the last 2 years being at a senior level
+ 5+ years experience in Project Management
+ Experience in Requirements Gathering, Requirements Elicitation, Meeting Facilitation and Requirements Documentation
+ Experience in Process flow, Data flows, Gap analysis and Data requirements
+ Excellent communication skills

Primary duties and responsibilities of the Senior Business Analyst:
+ Assures that business requirements and priorities are considered in the development/specification of ACA’s information systems and products.
+ Leads efforts in business requirements documentation, and/or producing the documentation.
+ Leads meetings to gather requirements, define scope, gain insights in an effort to align business and IT.
+ Assists business units in the development of business strategies that incorporate the appropriate level of technology.
+ Assists business units in the identification and documentation of process improvements, including conceptual design and requirements definition of information system alternatives.
+ Assists business units in the identification of benefits and costs for project justification and budgeting.
+ Acts as liaison with third-party solution providers (e.g., Workday, Salesforce.com, AAA Insurance Group) to identify solution alternatives.
+ Works with the information technology organization to estimate the scope, cost (development, implementation, and ongoing support), duration, and staffing required to complete identified projects – “Waterfall” approach.
+ Works with the information technology organization, the Product Owner and business Subject Matter Experts (SME) to ensure user stories are appropriately documented and user test plans are developed (e.g., Test-Driven Development). Solicit and collect feedback from SMEs and key business stakeholders at the conclusion of Sprint Demos – ’Agile Scrum" approach.
+ Performs feasibility studies and operational assessments of existing business processes and uses of technology.
+ Reports status and plan of technology investments to line of business and functional leaders and affected stakeholders during monthly project reviews and quarterly executive reviews.
+ Works with direct reports and senior business leaders during the annual strategic planning process to provide input into business strategic plans for each of the business unit and functional areas.
+ Provides information systems planning to support end-to-end business processes integration for a diverse set of business applications within ACA’s business operations.
+ Supports the lines of business and functional areas with budget planning to ensure business plans and programs utilizing information technology are adequately funded.
+ Identifies opportunities to leverage and share common technology solutions across business units and functional areas (e.g. SharePoint).
+ Acts as liaison with business leaders to identify and document IT plans and programs that align with their strategic objectives, communicate IT capabilities back to the business, and communicate status of relevant IT plans and programs to the business. Work with business leaders and the Finance team to complete cost/benefit analysis for IT investments.
+ Documents project requirements (either as functional requirements or user stories), develop user acceptance test plans, conduct tests, and lead project post-implementation audits to quantify project benefits realized.
+ Serves as Single Point of Contact for all Application & Development-related Service Requests. Duties include acknowledging receipt and discussing the business value justification for the request.
+ Communicates plans and collects feedback from business area management and IT associates to ensure project performance, expectation, and timeliness. Assist the Director with other business and functional areas to coordinate and ensure integration of projects and operations.
+ Maintains understanding of industry trends, best practices, and competitive capabilities and assess impact (challenges, opportunities) to ACA’s business operations.
+ Provides IT leaders with feedback from business leaders and key stakeholder on overall IT performance; coordinates the resolution of systemic issues negatively impacting business performance.
+ Works with the Enterprise Application, Enterprise Infrastructure and Enterprise Architecture teams to identify and recommend solutions that address the strategic objectives of ACA.
+ Acknowledges and abides by all Information Security Policies.
