The Alfred Lerner College of Business and Economics at the University of Delaware invites applications for a tenure-track position in Operations Management. This position is in our expanding Operations Management area, whose growth is fueled by increased interest in data-based analytics and decision making. In 2019, Forbes ranked UD a top place to work, and this position offers collegiality and work-life balance to highly-qualified applicants.

Candidates must possess a PhD in operations management or a related field or be ABD with completion expected in the near future. In addition, candidates should be well-qualified to design and teach courses in one or more of the three categories of course offerings, i.e. Business Analytics, Operations Management, and Management Science. Interest in data visualization, probabilistic programming, optimization, supply chain management, statistical computing, and/or collaboration with industry is also valued.

Successful candidates will demonstrate the drive and vision to develop an innovative, cutting-edge scholarly research program and a commitment to quality teaching. Candidates who have a few years of experience in rank as an Assistant Professor are especially encouraged to apply; such candidates will have a demonstrated record of publication in top academic journals and evidence of highly effective teaching. Teaching load is typically a maximum of four courses per year, with reduced teaching loads given to new faculty to support academic research.
