Product Stewardship and Regulatory Leader (Photovoltaic and Advanced Materials Business) (Job Number: 206116W-01)
Leads the Photovoltaic and Advanced Materials Business product stewardship processes responsible for managing a product offering throughout its life cycle, focusing on complying with regulations, reducing potential health, safety, and environmental impacts, and reducing potential product/business liability at each step in the life cycle.
THE ROLE & RESPONSIBILITIES
Your key responsibilities:
+ Leads implementation of the business’ Product Stewardship & Regulatory Managing System and associated processes.
+ Develops approaches and resourcing for global product regulatory compliance including coordination and oversight of preparation of notifications/registrations, SDS/labels, toxicology/hazard classifications and substance inventory reporting.
+ Consults on product stewardship and/or regulatory issues and market drivers relevant to the business and products.
+ Monitors/analyzes regulatory trends and positions of industry/stakeholder groups.
+ Promotes sustainable development concepts for products and/or product lines.
+ Primary interface with customers on product stewardship and regulatory inquiries and issues.
+ Leads Product Stewardship Reviews (scheduling, preparing, leading and completing the review) and documentation activities.
+ Insures the efficient completion of stewardship-related product introduction deliverables.
+ Manages Product Stewardship Incidents for the business to Closure and Follow-up.
+ Delivers product stewardship training to the business, technical teams and/or customers as appropriate.
+ Participates in external stakeholder meetings and advocacy activities.
Your qualification profile:
+ A Bachelor’s degree and 10+ years of relevant experience working as a product steward in industry or a Master’s degree and 8+ years of relevant experience or a Ph.D. and 5+ years of relevant experience.
+ Experience-based working knowledge of new chemical registration requirements.
+ Expert knowledge of regulatory requirements and processes to guide data development and create dossiers that meet regulatory requirements.
+ Knowledge of risk assessments or regulatory acceptability analyses for new products, given current and anticipated regulations and trends.
+ Understanding of data required to support product stewardship and regulatory work.
+ Ability to conduct risk assessments in conjunction with toxicologists and risk assessors.
+ Knowledge of preparation and approval of hazard communication documents (safety data sheets and labels.
+ Knowledge of the classification of Dangerous Goods.
+ Experience in SAP, particularly the SAP-EHS module, a plus.
+ Degree in a technical field such as chemistry, biochemistry, biology, toxicology or related subject combined with relevant experience:
