Job Description

As a Food Service Leader, serving safe foods to the highest standards is the top priority. The Food Service Leader is considered a full time employee. Our F.S.L.’s represent the Royal Farms brand and are required to do the following:

Be the first line supervisor for the entire foodservice operation, engaging all food service employees and insuring all systems are used and standards are met.
Maintain the highest level of sanitation and cleanliness, as a servsafe certified professional, following all known sanitation procedures.
Ensure all made to order foods are prepared to recipe and served to quality standards as set forth in guides, flipcharts, HACCP requirements and on-line learning modules.
Order, display and serve the highest quality perishable foods by using known systems (pars, expiration coding, figure eights, product rotation, waste documentation etc…).
Move quickly to provide fast service, meeting all required service times and directing all food service employees to follow systems and procedures.
Train all food service employees with systems including on-line learning modules (RTO) SOP/flipchart usage and all available training aids available on RTO guides and forms.
Accountabilities and Responsibilities

Handles customer complaints in a courteous and professional manner
Preparing and displaying fresh made to order and Good to Go and Hot Spot food items
Maintaining all beverage areas to insure a clean, sanitary and fully stocked station
Provides friendly, courteous and efficient customer service within the food service area
Clean, sweep and mop, sanitize all food contact surfaces, remove trash, maintain proper and sanitary operation of all store equipment
Performs regular cleaning and other scheduled duties in accordance to the companies job list requirements
Effectively communicates with customers and co workers
Maintains a safe working and shopping environment at all times through enforcement of safety and security procedures
Prepare every Food service item to standard
Maintain a clean station at all times and follow all proper food handling procedures
Assist Deli customers as needed at the CSS ordering system
Control Inventory rotation (FIFO)
