Job Description:

The Distribution Analyst/Planner supports, develops and utilizes analytical tools to facilitate the placement of Financial Centers and ATMs across the franchise. This includes long-range physical distribution plans for key markets as well as planning for expansion in new markets. Other responsibilities include assisting with support for recently deployed ESRI ArcGIS Enterprise/Portal solution and utilizing the expanded capabilities to drive new insights. Adhoc analytic activities may include, long-term studies to determine potential for products/services, proximity analysis or analyses to understand interrelationships between touch points in distribution network. Additionally, this person often serves as a key market expert representing the team in discussions around the markets under their responsibility. As such it is important to also identify key demographic and competitive trends and monitoring the current performance of the physical network.

Primary Responsibilities:

+ Develop market insights and expertise using internal and external data sources with a focus on identifying new ways to leverage BAC data to enhance market knowledge and placement decisioning

+ Share spatial data expertise with partners to help provide new perspectives on problem solving.

+ Consult with location planners and relationship mangers on consolidation, relocation and denovo opportunities.

+ Create and maintain distribution plans for key markets. Develop “on-the-fly” distribution plans for smaller markets on an as needed basis.

+ Maintain list of potential distribution recommendations for assigned markets.

+ Present findings to peers and business partners in formal and informal settings.

+ Establish and/or maintain regular communications with Retail Distribution Management and Real Estate Services teammates.

+ Conduct local market visits as appropriate to refine recommendations and distribution plans

+ Monitor, interpret and report on trends in retail, residential and commercial development as well as changes to the competitive landscape, specifically as it relates to markets for which plans are created.

Qualifications/Desired Skills:

+ Distribution planning and/or site selection for financial services or other retail experience required

+ ESRI ArcGIS software experience required

+ Prefer experience with spatial analytics tools, applications and field tools (Survey 123, Collector)

+ Strong relationship management skills.

+ Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

+ Proficient in Microsoft Office suite including Excel, PowerPoint and SharePoint.

+ Academic background in geography or statistics preferred

+ Experience with SQL, SAS or R a plus
