Job Description

As an experienced member of our
Software Engineering Group we look first and foremost for people who are

As a Software Engineer Manager, you will work with the
business and IT leadership to understand IT business strategies and their
implication to application(s) under responsibility. You will be accountable to
Business and Technology Management for end to end application scoping,
planning, development, implementation and post-implementation maintenance and
support. You will prioritize and manage development and implementation of
enhancements/changes; oversee installations and Release Management including
the final production acceptance review and signoff; manage the issue resolution
process for any application production problems; and oversee Operations
Monitoring and Capacity Management. You will also oversee formal performance
testing process; help manage the relationship with internal and external
services vendors to ensure superior service delivery for all application core
technologies; work with Application Developers and Business Managers to define
and monitor Service Level Agreement’s and negotiate appropriate support
commitments for existing products; and interact with BITL Manager team and
client users to understand and prioritize demand and suggest enhancements.
Additionally, you will manage business baseline technology budget for
application – related activities, approve ad hoc, non-application – related
spending and seek ways to reduce baseline application – related costs.

This role requires a wide variety of
strengths and capabilities, including:

+ BS/BA degree or equivalent experience

+ Expertise in application, data and infrastructurearchitecture disciplines

+ Advanced knowledge of architecture, design across allsystems

+ Knowledge of industry wide technology strategies andbest practices

+ Keen understanding of financial control and budgetmanagement

+ Ability to work in large, collaborative teams toachieve organizational goals, and passionate about building an innovativeculture

+ Excellent analytical communication. Organizational andproblem solving skills coupled with strong work ethic.

+ 10+ years technical expertise in ETL basedapplications; AbInitio, Oracle, Terradata, high volume Real Time &Batch application processing

+ 10+ years’ people & data warehouse applicationmanagement experience with full development lifecycle from inceptionthrough implementation.

+ 3+ years with Data Governance applications- Metadata,Reference Data & Data Quality Management.

+ 3+ years’ experience with Hadoop ecosystem technologystacks as HDFS, HBase, Hive, Pig, Spark, MapReduce and Cloudera

+ Experience with development, deployment and support oflarge scale distributed applications in a mission critical productionenvironment
