The Program Management and Capabilities Senior Project Manager leads and manages projects that support the Americas Operations organization and is responsible for all phases of a project. This includes the pre-justify, business justification, project initiation, planning, execution, closure and transition, and realize benefits phases. Project responsibilities also include project team management, stakeholder management, project change management and communications. The scope of work includes projects or programs related to supply chain improvements or changes, sourcing and asset strategies, new product introductions, brand life cycle initiatives, and major supply chain compliance and transformation initiatives within or across supply sites / supply chains. The development of business cases for potential projects is also part of this role. The position may be required to interface with various stakeholder groups, including Supply Sites, Regulatory, Global Supply Chain, Demand Management, Commercial, and other functions within Operations or across AstraZeneca.
In this position, you will align with and utilize the AstraZeneca Project Management Framework (PMF) and Change Management Framework (CMF). This will include execution of all project phases, serve as champion relative to the AZ PMF, provide project management training (to project team members or stakeholders) as needed and use standard project management and change management tools and methods.
You will also be responsible for all aspects of managing project team members. This includes managing the performance of individuals as well as the collective team, assigning individual responsibilities, project plans, budgets and schedules as well as any changes to project scope. You’ll also be responsible for identifying and managing project risks using the integrated risk management framework.
+ Bachelor’s degree required in engineering, pharmacy, chemistry or related science, or business-related field.
+ Minimum of five (5) years’ experience and demonstrated knowledge in various aspects of pharmaceutical operations, including manufacturing and packaging and / or other supply chain processes.
+ Minimum of four (4) years’ experience managing projects with demonstrated project management skills.
+ Proven expertise in successfully delivering business-critical projects involving cross-functional participants, stakeholders and organizations.
+ Ability to manage and develop cross-functional teams, plan and execute multiple project tasks, and multiple projects concurrently.
+ Demonstrated sound judgement, good business acumen and strong analytical skills.
+ Knowledge and understanding of current Good Manufacturing Practices (cGMPs).
+ Strong leadership, interpersonal, influencing and communication skills.
+ Experience with commercialization and launch of new products.
+ Knowledge of and experience with lean concepts and tools.
+ Demonstrated understanding of external customer base and supply chain.
+ Proficient in MS suite of software tools (PowerPoint, Excel, Word, and Project).
+ Project Management certification.
+ Ability to communicate in Spanish and / or Portuguese.
