VP Senior Compliance Liaison
Wilmington, DE

The Senior Compliance Liaison will provide regulatory guidance and second line of defense support for Barclays Payment Solutions-US (BPS US). This individual is responsible for managing against Barclays US Cards and Payments Compliance program requirements under the direction and supervision of the Compliance Advisory Director.

Merchant acquiring is an integral part of card payment transactions processing. Acquirers enable merchants to accept card payments by acting as a link between merchants, issuers, and payment networks-providing authorization, clearing and settlement, dispute management, and information services to merchants.

What will you be doing?
•Acting as point of contact for Compliance colleagues and interpreting applicable laws and regulations for team members and business
•Engaging in all aspects of the regulatory change process for Barclays US Cards and Payments business end-to-end
•Ensuring compliance policies are in place and up-to-date and designing and implementing common policy guides and materials across BPS (US)
•Executing routine review of the department’s compliance program to ensure alignment with Compliance expectations for BPS (US)
•Engaging in all key activities within teams for BPS (US) as it relates to Compliance activities
•Working across Compliance team to ensure consistency with interpretation of regulatory requirements
•Tracking and following up on all Compliance related issues as it pertains to BPS (US)
•Assisting in the preparation of the annual Compliance Risk Assessments as needed

What we’re looking for:
•Undergraduate or advanced college degree
•10 years of relevant experience required, with bank regulatory compliance (particularly payments) experience

Skills that will help you in the role:
•Compliance Certification (i.e., CRCM, etc.) strongly preferred
•Able to build and maintain successful working relationships with a range of contacts inside and outside area
•Fully qualified and competent in own work, considered subject matter expert (SME) and capable of handling most projects that have a short or mid-term focus
•Ability to Influence change in work unit which may impact larger organization and/or business unit
