Pharma Solutions Americas Commercial Leader (Job Number: 205261W-01)
This position is responsible for providing regional
commercial leadership for the Pharma Solutions Platform within DuPont Nutrition
and Biosciences (N&B). The Pharma
Solutions platform combines the legacy excipients businesses of Dow and FMC,
both of which are market leading providers of controlled release and immediate
release products for oral solid dosage delivery forms. As the Pharma Solutions Americas Commercial Leader,
the selected candidate will be responsible for delivering the financial plan
for the region, leading a diverse sales team, managing strategic high-level
customer relationships, and building a solid opportunity pipeline.
The responsibilities of the role revolve
around four major components:
Deliver the financial plan totalling
roughly $300 MM of top line sales
Lead a team of 15 sales
Manage strategic high-level
relationships at key customers and distributors
Build a strong opportunity
pipeline to position the business for future growth
Deliver the financial plan:
regional team through annual budget process
regular (monthly and quarterly) team meetings to review performance and
pricing strategies, approve off-list price requests, credits and rebates
with a cross-functional team to develop and implement regional strategy to
contingency plans in the event of weaker than expected performance or capacity
Lead the sales
overall team of 15 sales professionals; set annual goals and provide formal
performance feedback and coaching throughout the year
account assignments and territories in such a way that is balanced and aligns
needs with skill sets and development needs of the team
closely with employees to create employee development plans in order to support
and challenge high-performers and address performance issue for employees in
need of support
succession plan for the region and work to position employees for future
strategic high-level relationships at key customers and distributors
relationships and maintain regular contact with senior management at key
high-level relationships with key distributors (Colorcon, IMCD, Univar). Support and execute channel strategy in the
and/or coordinate activities for global multinational accounts
Build a Robust Opportunity
team through the adoption of Salesforce.com
pipeline reviews with the sales team to support opportunity progression and
ensure cross functional alignment for key opportunties
progress for campaigns in Salesforce.com

The ideal candidate will have at least 10 years of professional experience in a relevant sales or marketing role with a bachelors of science in chemistry, engineering or a related field. A masters of business administration is desirable and considered a positive differentiator.
