new opportunity for Electrical and Instrument Technicians.
THE ROLE &RESPONSIBILITIES
The purpose of this job is to provide primarily electrical maintenance
support across the Newark businesses at the Newark Site . The selected
candidate will be responsible for the repair and maintenance of all types of
electrical equipment used in the processes to ensure safe, reliable operation,
effective troubleshooting and cost effective PPM. Primary responsibility will
be provide hands-on troubleshooting and repair of electrical components for all
process and packaging equipment to ensure safe, reliable operation, expedited
safe return to service and cost effective PPM.
+ Primaryresponsibility for meeting maintenance needs on low, medium, and high voltageequipment.
+ Repairs,maintains and installs electrically driven equipment and machinery whichis used in the process.
+ Troubleshoots, improves, repairs malfunctions and documents failure analysis ofI&E equipment.
+ Collaboratewith maintenance coordinators, lead electricians, other peers, and theprocess owners for all equipment needing support.
+ Activelyparticipates in the implementation of the Global Maintenance Work Processfor I&E work.
+ ProvidesOperating Discipline for electrical tasks in Newark Maintenance.
+ AssistPPM Coordinator role in defining appropriate electrical spare parts,building equipment files in SAP, and defining necessary scheduled servicesfor electrical equipment in Newark Maintenance.
+ Providetechnical input to the PPM Coordinator to improve electrical PPM programs
+ Writeelectrical operation, isolation, and maintenance procedures and assist intraining on procedures where appropriate.
+ Trainsoperations and maintenance personnel on electrical equipment as needed.
+ Workto improve asset utilization of electrical equipment throughout Newark byparticipating on audit teams, participating in cost of ownership studiesand reliability engineering studies.
+ Trainpersonnel in purpose, use, isolation, maintenance and principles of operationof electrical equipment.
+ Act asliaison between suppliers/manufacturers and manufacturing partners forproblems with electrical equipment.
+ Provideproblem solving expertise and knowledge of appropriate integrated workprocesses. (GMWP, GTM, GPM, IRWP, etc)
+ Understandingof electrical distribution systems and their impact on production.
+ Understandingof U.P.S. and battery systems.
+ Troubleshoot,install, and repair various voltage, designs and brand names including:motor control circuitry; switch gear and buss assemblies; vacuumcontactors and starters; control circuits; main tie main breakers systemand operations.
+ Troubleshoot,install, and repair various designs and brand names including: electricmotor operated valve; variable frequency drives; transformer troubleshooting and maintenance; U.P.S. installation, operation and maintenance.
+ Planningelectrical work
+ Ensureall safeguards of equipment are installed correctly as needed to conformto policies and regulations.

+ ImproveReliability Work Process and Global Maintenance Work ProcessImplementation/Effectiveness (IRWP Self Assessments, GMWP SelfAssessments, Top Opportunity Lists, Facility and Equipment Strategies,etc) as applicable to I&E role and equipment.
+ RCAfailure analysis on unplanned equipment downtime and repeat failures.
+ Reduceplant maintenance costs.
+ Meetplant production goals.
+ Helpbuild and implement equipment strategies for electrical systems.
The following arerequired:
+ Graduateof 2-year technical school or equivalent
+ Applicantsare preferred to have 5+ years as a maintenance technician/electrician ina plant/manufacturing environment
+ Strongelectrical knowledge and background
+ Have astrong working knowledge and experience in troubleshooting and repair ofmachine control systems and:
+ 3-phase,480VAC systems
+ Allen-BradleyPLC experience including MicroLogix, RsLogix500 and RsLogix5000 platforms
+ Someinstrument and process control (Mod5) knowledge and experience desirable.
+ Theability to work effectively both individually and in a team environment iscritical.
+ Mustbe willing to help resolve issues that surface as a result of planning andscheduling of I &E work.
+ Abilityto troubleshoot and Install Control Panels
+ Provenability to manage multiple concurrent projects
+ Goodwritten and verbal communications skills.
+ Goodinterpersonal skills.
+ Goodworking knowledge of Excel, Word, SAP, and standard Dow software tools,etc.
+ Mustbe willing to make call outs and work overtime per plant needs.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to
stand, walk and sit. The employee frequently is required to use hands to
finger, handle or feel objects, tools or controls and reach with hands and
arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, crouch or crawl.
