Job Description

As a
member of our Software Engineering Group we look first and foremost for people

This
function supports the Chief Technology Office and reports to an executive
director on the moneta team. This is a core software engineering position and
the successful applicant will have strong back end or full-stack software engineering
experience and demonstrated experience coding in Java. This role will be
focused primarily on building frameworks and also public cloud enablement. Experience
working with Maven as a build tool and/or experience with unit testing would
also be helpful as this is part of the role/responsibilities.

This role requires a wide variety of
strengths and capabilities, including:

+ BS/BAdegree or equivalent experience

+ Advancedknowledge of application, data and infrastructure architecture disciplines

+ Understandingof architecture and design across all systems

+ Workingproficiency in developmental toolsets

+ Knowledgeof industry wide technology strategies and best practices

+ Abilityto work in large, collaborative teams to achieve organizational goals, andpassionate about building an innovative culture

+ Proficiencyin one or more modern programming languages like Java and astrong understanding offundamental web/internet technologies.

+ Understandingof software skills such as business analysis, development, maintenance andsoftware improvement

+ 5+years’ experience working as an Application Developer with experience inSCM such as GIT, experience with Maven as a build tool with a firmunderstanding of Maven standards and common practices

+ Webexperience with ES6, Node.js, Webpack, CSS, Sass, Less, Angular and/orReact. Experience with Cloud both Private and Public clouds ranging fromIaaS to PaaS solutions

+ Practicalexperience with unit testing using tools like JUnit and Mockito.Experience with refactoring concepts and how they apply when building andmaintaining high-quality solutions. Comfortable with the concept ofpairing with other team members to solve problems

+ Strongimplementation skills with ORM frameworks like Hibernate/JPA or MyBatis.Must be proficient in SQL preferably across multiple databases
