IT Application Specialist (Job Number: 204062W-01)


The business and/or site specific applications have a direct
impact on operations, productivity and process efficiency. Included in this subset are shop floor
applications that control the product flow through multi-step manufacturing
processes and has interfaces with other manufacturing and business computer
systems. There are multiple technologies involved in the various computer
systems which require multiple messaging technologies to implement.

The primary responsibility for this position is to collect
requirements, develop technical specifications, and develop, configure, code, implement,
and support shop floor and other business applications in a 24×7 manufacturing
environment where enterprise solutions DO NOT exist. In doing so, the analyst must:

+ possess proficient technical skills to performduties and tasks of role;

+ effectively work independently and with otherteam members;

+ have strong troubleshooting and problem solvingskills;

+ have solid oral and written communicationskills;

+ develop technical specifications and proposalsfrom user requirements.

+ gain business knowledge around business-specificprocesses and document the sameThis position will report to a Service Delivery Supervisorand work collaboratively with senior analysts / application developers.


+ Bachelor’s degree in Information Systems,Information Technology, Computer Science or equivalent experience.

+ Experience and Knowledge of Client/Server programmingprinciples and methodologies.

+ Experience with Object Oriented programmingprinciples and methodologies.

+ Experience with MS Visual Studio/VB.Net/C# applicationdevelopment environment.

+ Experience and Knowledge of Relational Databasessuch as SQL Server or Oracle.

+ Demonstrated ability in requirements gatheringand technical specification writing
