Technical Service Consultant (Job Number: 204882W-01)
+ The primary responsibility of the Technical Service Consultant positionis to provide technical support to existing and future LTCC and Ceramiccustomers by assisting with processing, product selection, prototype design andfabrication.
+ This independent and motivated employee will identify, assesstechnical opportunities and provide solutions for the customer.
+ The individual needs to be able to define the scientific ortechnical opportunity or problem, and provide an approach to measure, analyzeand provide a solution.
+ In addition, responsibilities of the Technical Service Consultantposition are to develop, demonstrate, and deliver solutions and products forDuPont PVAM to strategic accounts, distributors & OEMs.
+ Key success factors in this role are the ability to identifycustomer needs, develop and deliver solutions. This requires theindividual to gain a deep understanding of the customer and industryperformance requirements, needs and processes as well as the DuPont product andservice offerings.
+ The role requires the ability to combine knowledge of packagingdesigns, testing methods, application aptitude, and technical knowledge/resourcesto define and meet objectives that benefit customers and DuPont.
+ The position requires initiative, effective time management andresult orientation. The successful candidate needs to have strong communicationskills and the ability to work in a team of peers which often includes otherfunctions in DuPont and customer technical personnel.
The individual needs to have strong documentation skills on test data,
results to support the testing one conducts.
+ Formal training in engineering or materials science (BS minimum)with 5+ years of experience
+ Working knowledge of electrical design aspects including circuitlevel layout (not necessarily circuit design) for printed circuit boards,components, assembly processes (soldering, wire bonding, flip chip etc.).
+ Working knowledge of electronic packaging materials such asepoxies, coatings, solder alloys, ceramic and organic laminate substrates, andsurface finishes
+ Knowledgeable in design for manufacturability and volumemanufacturing implications of design decisions.
+ Capable in Solid Works, AutoCAD or other design software
+ Hands-on experience with test and metrology equipment.
+ Understanding of the considerations for electronic packagingsolutions for 5G/RF/microwave products (Multi-Chip Modules, Hybrids, etc.)intended for high reliability and harsh environmental applications.
+ Familiarity with common industry standards in electronicpackaging (ASTM, IPC, MIL).
+ Demonstrate a detail oriented, hands-on and proactive approachto solving tough design challenges while engaging all necessary resources tokeep tasks on track and meet deliverables.
+ Must be a US personnel (Green Card holder or US Citizen) due toITARs requirements.
