SEO and Content Specialist
The Capital One Consumer Bank Marketing Technology (MarTech) team is a growing group looking to bring in new, excited marketers. The MarTech group is responsible for using the advancements in marketing/ad technology, automation, marketing experience, data and predictive sciences to deliver people-based marketing at scale.
The Bank’s SEO program is comprised of three unique workstreams: acquisitions SEO, local SEO and content marketing. Our purpose statement is “be found, help people and grow the business.” Our team is on the forefront of SEO strategy across the Capital One Enterprise, we’re constantly evolving to meet the shifting demands of the digital marketing landscape, and we’re having fun with our wide-ranging partners while we’re doing it.
The Junior SEO and Content Specialist will be responsible for bringing our SEO program to life across the three workstreams. They will need to be able to thoughtfully execute end-to-end marketing practices – from organic keyword and competitive research, to agency and editorial briefing and creative development, through results analysis to feed the next cycle of work – to deliver impactful, bottom-line business growth.
+ I ncorporate SEO best practices into all marketing to improve organic rankings, traffic and accounts to Capital One web properties
+ Review organic search research (content gap, competitive, technical, etc.) to identify relevant trends and patterns to inform on-site & off-site development
+ Create editorial briefs, leading to compelling customer and prospect communications
+ Review and provide feedback on marketing channel assets, such as articles and videos; apply foundational industry, bank and Capital One product knowledge to improve these assets
+ Manage marketing creative review processes in workflow management systems
+ Tactfully negotiate compromises and common ground with stakeholders to find solutions during creative development
+ Monitor, manage and organize SEO intake requests from external partner groups; digest information and communicate relevant points to agencies and internal partners
+ Manage Capital One Cafe, ATM and Branches listing updates; communicate updates and changes to relevant internal and external partners in concise and timely manner
+ Flawlessly execute a well-managed governance process to ensure audit readiness for all consumer-facing marketing assets
+ Review and provide feedback on web analytics and SEO reports to highlight business-relevant insights
+ Create and manage dashboard for SEO KPIs
+ Day-to-day management of agency partners; including building and iterating on meeting agendas, compiling takeaways and action items, communicating leadership messages to partners and handling all scheduling and logistics
+ Ensure SEO partner is meeting or exceeding SEO goals
+ Manage workload in agile environment
+ This role reports to the SEO Marketing Manager

+ Bachelor’s degree
+ At least 2 years of digital marketing experience
+ At least 2 years of experience in SEO or SEM or content marketing
+ At least 2 years experience in web analytics
+ At least 1 year experience in agile marketing
+ At least 1 year experience at an enterprise level organization
+ At least 1 year experience in Financial Services Industry
+ At least 1 year experience with web page development teams
+ At least 1 year experience Brand strategy
+ At least 1 year experience of G Suite and Microsoft Office products
