Firmwide Risk
Management is overseen and managed on an enterprise-wide basis. The Firm’s risk
management governance and oversite framework involves understanding drivers of
risks, types of risks, and impacts of risks.

Within the broader Risk
organization, the Risk Chief Data Office (CDO) is responsible for developing a
best-in-class data management function across various critical business
initiatives (CCAR, Basel, etc.). Through partnerships with Firm wide Data
Management (FDM), the Chief Data Office (CDO), Business, Operations, and
Technology stakeholders, the team is responsible for defining and executing on
the overall data governance and data management strategy across Firmwide Risk
Management & Compliance.

As
a Risk CDO Associate the ideal
candidate will contribute to the delivery of strategic initiatives across both the
Risk CDO organization and Data Quality management. Core responsibilities
include, but are not limited to:

+ Supportingthe Data Quality book of work affecting various Risk Management functionsthrough root cause analysis and oversight and coordination of data qualityissue remediation.

+ Activelycontributing to Data Quality Working Groups and Forums to drive dataquality issue resolution, track progress and resolve potential issues ordependencies

+ Engagingwith subject matter experts to prioritize issues, coordinate issue remediationand oversight of data quality governance

+ Maintainingstrong working relationships with Risk Management & Compliance, line of businesspartners, other CDO groups, DCO’s, Operations and Reporting, facilitatingeffective communication, and working in teams to assess needs, understand regulatoryrequirements and execute the team agenda.

+ Helping define Risk CDO proceduresto adhere to Firmwide data management policy and data quality operatingmodel

+ Maintainingbest practices for data controls, working with Risk Controllers to analyzeexisting controls and implement additional controls to monitor data health,and identifying potential data quality issues

+ Aligning the team with FirmwideReference Data projects and program to effectively communicate Risk’simpact and concerns; ensuring the Firmwide Reference data agenda iseffectively communicated to the Risk organization.

+ Defining and driving operationalimprovements in the team’s data quality and Data Governance functions

+ Financerelated Bachelor’s degree required; Business analysis / Data management / Projectmanagement experience helpful

+ Strongdata analysis and interpretation skills; analyzing data with respect tocorresponding business and technology processes; comfortable working with largequantities of data

Communication /Influence

+ Excellentability to quickly learn and assimilate business and technical knowledge, andconfidently speak about these processes

+ Adeveloped leadership presence capable of effective messaging of complex systemsand processes to junior team members and upper management alike

+ Provenability to work across diverse groups, build consensus and execute the agreedplans

Soft Skills

+ Strongorganizational skills and ability to manage multiple streams of workconcurrently in a flexible, fast paced environment

+ Must be detailoriented, highly responsible and able to work with tight deadlines

+ Excellent writtenand verbal communication skills

+ Strong analyticaland problem solving skills; sound and independent judgment

Technical

+ Overallstrong desktop skills including Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and other Officeapplications

+ Understandingof concepts and hands-on experience working with relational databases, SQL, andBI tools; experience with tools such as Qlikview, Alteryx helpful
