Corteva Agriscience, is looking for a Senior Accountant located in Wilmington, DE.

PURPOSE:

This position is responsible for a wide variety of accounting tasks within Capital Management’s Business Services team. This position reports to the Manager of Business Services. The scope of this role may expand to include more complex tasks based on the demonstrated competencies and capacity of the incumbent.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

The successful candidate will be expected to work with minimal supervision and will be held accountable for the following tasks:

+ Prepare monthly accounting entries, general ledger closings and account reconciliations.

+ Perform monthly legal entity reporting to Corporate Finance.

+ Prepare monthly Gross Receipts tax reporting and annual Tax Bulletins for Corporate Tax.

+ Obtain daily bank activity, prepare wire or ACH payment requests, and record transactions in QuickBooks and subsidiary ledgers.

+ Prepare and post monthly reports to Capital Management’s Business Services’ SharePoint databases (e.g., monthly Expenses Report, Department Budgets, Travel Reports, Top Vendor Reports).

+ Prepare Management Fee billings in compliance with client Investment Management Agreements.

+ Assist with preparing the annual Budget and Profit Objective.

+ Perform soft dollar brokerage accounting, budgeting and quarterly reporting (including client commission arrangement reporting).

+ Manage proxy voting control and reporting governance via liaison with the firm’s proxy voting service provider.

+ Maintain Capital Management’s Time Reporting System and train new-users.

+ Complete ad hoc requests and special projects (e.g., CIEBA survey).

Qualifications

+ Bachelor’s degree in accounting or a related field

+ CPA preferred

+ Public Accounting experience preferred

+ Minimum of 6 years’ work experience reflecting increases in responsibilities over time

+ Demonstrated flexibility to meet the needs of the business

+ Excellent written and oral communications skills

+ Internal or external audit experience

+ Experience in the investment management industry preferred but not required

+ Excellent organizational and prioritization skills

+ Demonstrated ability to multi-task and work with minimum supervision

+ Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Office (strong Excel skills are essential) and experience with QuickBooks is preferred

+ Individual must be very detail oriented

+ Demonstrated ability to meet deadlines, sometimes under tight time constraints
