Job Description


Corteva Agriscience TM , is seeking a qualified candidate for an in vitro Associate/Staff Scientist position within our Cellular and Molecular Toxicology group. This is an exciting opportunity for an ambitious candidate to join our highly motivated Research and Development Team. This is a laboratory-based position located at the Haskell Laboratory, Newark, DE.

Key Responsibilities:

+ Develop and lead the study conduct of in vitro genetic, endocrine, molecular biology tests to address current and emerging regulatory testing requirements or mode of action studies

+ Experience with transcriptomics, data mining and machine learning algorithms

+ Write and maintain technical documents including lab standard operating procedures and study protocols

+ Design and perform non-GLP and GLP toxicology studies for discovery screens and regulatory submissions

+ Critically analyze, interpret and effectively communicate results in a timely manner to support product development and registrations

+ Work independently and with colleagues from cross-functional disciplines


+ Master’s degree in Toxicology, Pharmacology, Molecular Biology or related discipline

+ 5-8 years of laboratory experience with sterile cell culture techniques and genetic or molecular biology procedures

+ Experience with routine laboratory instrumentation including spectrophotometers, flow cytometers, qPCR, colony counters

+ Experience with microscopic analysis of common cell types for cytogenetics endpoints

+ Excellent written and oral communication skills and organizational skills

· Strong work ethic, attention to detail and problem solving skills

Desired skills:

+ Experience working in a GLP environment

+ Basic understanding of statistics
