Job Description:

Responsible for supporting projects and initiatives within US Consumer Credit Card Strategies. Role entails development, execution and validation of line management strategies for the credit builder and student portfolio. Performs complex risk analysis that maximizes profits and asset growth and minimizes credit and operating losses and other risk exposures. Works closely with business partners to share risk data, communicate strategy changes, and drive business transformation. Strong analytical skills with experience manipulating large data sets in SAS or similar software.

This position can also be filled with a highly qualified Analyst II.

Enterprise Job Description : Responsible for performing complex analysis and modeling. Utilizes a variety of systems including, but not limited to Excel, Access, Visual Basic, SAS, and InfoQuest at an intermediary level. Provides analytical support on various strategies to ensure company goals are met. Coordinates the production of performance reports and updates for senior management. May utilize established databases to provide statistical and financial modeling. Analyzes portfolio trends, concerning risk, loss trends, marketing performance, portfolio dynamics, and bureau scoring criteria. Will participate in the rollout of company-wide pilot programs developed as a result of programmed models. Duties primarily include the regular use of discretion and independent judgment. 2-5 years experience preferred.

Required Skills:

+ 2+ years prior experience in developing consumer credit strategies or Masters in Statistics, Applied Economics, Business Administration or related field.

+ Strong analytical, logical reasoning and problem solving skills required.

+ Strong knowledge of statistics and data mining techniques.

+ Proficient with SAS, SQL, and Excel software.

+ Proficient in MS Office including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

+ Effective project management and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize workloads.

+ Bachelors degree in business, math, statistics, economics or related discipline

Desired Skills:

+ Previous credit experience and knowledge of credit policies and procedures for consumer or small business lending

+ Strong understanding of risk strategies, financial drivers, and credit operations with proven problem solving skills
