Compliance plays a critical role in the successful execution of the firm’s mission. The Compliance function ensures a strong control culture by developing and maintaining program infrastructure that identifies, measures, and monitors compliance with applicable laws, regulations and rules that govern our business globally. Compliance teams work closely with business, legal, risk, and audit functions to provide expertise on regulatory compliance matters, assess and measure compliance and related risks, and monitor and test the adequacy of the firm’s compliance control environment.

Consumer and Community Banking Compliance plays a critical role in the successful execution of the firm’s compliance mission. The Compliance function ensures the development and maintenance of a strong compliance culture by developing and maintaining a program infrastructure that identifies, measures, and monitors compliance with applicable laws, regulations, and rules that govern our business. Compliance teams work closely with Business, Controls, Legal, Risk, and Audit functions to provide expertise on regulatory compliance matters, assess and measure compliance and related risks, and monitor and test the adequacy of the firm’s compliance control environment.
The role of our Compliance organization is to support the company in maintaining the highest standards of ethical conduct and compliance with both the spirit and intent of the many laws, rules, and regulations that govern Chase Consumer and Community Banking (CCB).
The Compliance Testing candidate will have strong research and testing skills. Responsibilities will include developing end to end regulatory Compliance reviews to assess the effectiveness of controls and perform testing to ensure the regulatory control environment is effective. Generally interfaces with senior and middle line management. Typically makes decisions independently, but discusses unusual or complex issues with compliance management. Executes assigned Compliance reviews in accordance with established timelines and Global Compliance Testing Procedures. Completes ad hoc assignments as needed and performs independent research necessary to understand the scope of assigned reviews.
The Compliance Testing candidate will have experience producing high-quality reports and will be able to demonstrate strong follow-up skills. The successful candidate should be comfortable working with data and populations for the purpose of targeting test sample segments. Candidate will regularly work with MS Office products including Excel spreadsheets, plus multiple mainframe and Windows based applications.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to
+ Manages and conducts regulatory compliance reviews by evaluating line of business processes and controls through the performance of testing
+ Understand and implement sound testing and sampling methodologies
+ Produces detailed testing documentation and timely reporting to represent testing results, conclusions, recommendations following internal standards
+ Communicates the results of compliance testing via written reports and oral presentations to senior and middle line management
+ Participate in special projects as assigned by Compliance Testing Management
+ College degree or equivalent applicable work experience
+ Strong auditing or compliance testing experience in Card Services, Regulatory Compliance and/or Quality Assurance
+ Knowledge of Financial Regulations impacting Card Services and/or consumer financial products
+ Ability to collaborate with partners and apply critical thinking skills to design and execute compliance testing
+ Ability to organize data and findings in a professional and concise manor and clearly articulate test approach and results
+ Ability to prioritize time, work effectively to meet deadlines and demonstrate a sense of urgency
+ Highly motivated, results-oriented individual who is able to work independently under minimal supervision with an attention to detail and accuracy
+ Intermediate to advanced skills with Microsoft applications (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and other reporting tools
