We are seeking an Intern – R&D for the Accugenix Microbial Solutions business located in Newark, DE.
This internship will provide the opportunity to work in an R&D environment evaluating new applications for, and current performance of, a mass spectrometry technology that is used in regulated industries to provide microbial identifications. By working directly with R&D scientists, the intern will get hands-on experience designing and executing experiments, analyzing raw data, assessing the impact of the data, and evaluating the potential effect on operational efficiencies.
The following are minimum requirements related to the Intern – R&D position.
+ Student currently enrolled in an accredited college/university degree program pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Biological Sciences, Chemistry, or related field
+ Completion of Sophomore year
+ Minimum GPA of 3.0
+ Ability to fulfill a minimum of a 12 week internship within June – August time period
+ Effective communication and listening skills in a teamwork environment.
+ Demonstrated ability to work on multiple projects with a strong attention to detail
+ Excitement in the scientific process and discovering new things
