Under general supervision performs skilled work at the journeyman level in the installation, renovation, inspection, adjustment, operation, and maintenance of industrial, commercial, and housing boiler systems, and related mechanical equipment. Demonstrates leadership skills in the ability to direct work and versatility in the application and coordination of technical maintenance operations for heating plant and auxiliary systems. Employee is required to work on fired and non-fired pressure vessels, equipment that is electrical, electronic, pneumatic, equipment containing steam up to 125 PSIG and hot water with pressures up to 235 PSIG, and equipment that burns fuel oils and gases at rates exceeding 15 million BTU/HR.
